THE COLD HARD TRUTH ABOUT WHY OUR PARTY IS IN THE SHAPE IT'S IN.

I can not and will not vote for him!
I am visiting my grandson in Cancun, Mexico right now and a friend of his that works for some guy named Carlos Slim showed us a copy of the "Whitey" Tape. Please read more below.   Read More »
A wise man once told me that Wall Street reacts to things before they happen... Is an $11 dollar price jump per barrel oil a confirmation that a war with IRAN is coming much sooner than later. I think so. This will hurt Sen. Obama with the so called "experience" voters and may be the one last ditch effort of the Bush White House and the GOP to maintain control of the presidency. Please comment!
I really can not respect nor support enthusiastically neither Sen. Clinton nor Sen. Obama for that matter. They are both equally to blame for this party being practically torn in two. I will only vote for one of them if I have to but I would much rather see a uniter and not a divider on our ticket and neither Sen. Clinton nor Sen. Obama fit that bill any longer. I am losing hope and they have managed to take the entire trill out of a great year for us all as Democrats. What would it have cost these two to sit down a long time ago and strike a compromise between the two of them? They and their pride have caused all of this and I hope that neither get the nomination. They have displayed lack of political skills, lack of judgment, lack of leadership, and lack of concern for the common good and well being of our party and our country for that matter. What they haven't lacked in is their egos and there hateful rhetoric towards each other, each others campaigns, and each others supporters. Both have failed and neither deserves to be POTUS. Come Nov. if either of them is the candidate I won't be voting for them. I will be voting for the Democratic Party and that just somehow takes all the air out of it for me... Am I wrong to feel this way?
As I am sure most of you will agree the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee decisions tomorrow will not solve anything and will most probably lead to more protest and even law suits... In light of all this bickering the only true way to solve this problem and unite this party is for the superdelegates to vote none of the above... That's right... No Obama and No Clinton... How about that. We unite the party via a dark horse ticket and we throw a curve ball to the GOP... How about a Mark R. Warner and Janet Napolitano or Harold Ford, Jr. Ticket? Or even a Janet Napolitano and get this Colin Powell Ticket? Or How about Deval L. Patrick and a Mark R. Warner or Janet Napolitano Ticket? Or we could run Harold Ford, Jr. on top and any of the above V.P. Please respond and give me your favorite ticket!!!
What is Nancy Pelosi thinking by her comments today. In her infinite wisdom, does she think that that gavel she waves in the the U.S. House of Representatives somehow gives her the almighty power to pick and choose who will win our nomination. Talk about elitist that was the last straw for me. I can think of nothing good coming from her putting her two cents in all of this. To the contrary she could cause a lot more harm than good. I say let the Rules and Bylaws Committee and if not them the Credentials Committee, do there jobs and if this all goes to the convention well so be it. Since when is a healthy debate a bad thing for a political party. I mean what are all of these so called experts afraid of. I really think that any move to end this nomination process before one of the candidates withdraw and endorse the other will be detrimental to our party. We must let things play themselves out or risk a real party split the likes of which we have never seen and that WILL hurt us in the congressional races as well. By ending this process early we play right into the GOP's hands. We will go into a general election divided and that is not a good thing. I am sure we will all agree that all Clinton supporters and Obama supporters will be united if this runs its course no matter who is the nominee. God help us if Nancy Pelosi is our only hope. She is no Tip O'Neil!

MUCH TO SAY ABOUT GENERAL ELECTION MAP...

BLUE STATES SHOULD SEN. OBAMA THE PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION:
WASH., CALIF., OREGON, MINN., IOWA, WIS., NY., MASS., DC., ILL., AND HAWAII, THAT'S ABOUT IT...

DOES ANYONE DISAGREE? PLEASE DON'T COMMENT ON THE STATES YOU THINK MIGHT BE IN PLAY... ONLY THE SURE OBAMA STATES...

CAN HE WIN WITH JUST THESE STATES??? I DON'T SEE HOW.
Tell me Mikey, now you seem like a pretty bright young man who's got the world by the tail... Tell me know how will Sen. Obama win a general election against a moderate GOP war hero. I don't see it happening. I think that things could have been worse... JEB Bush could have run for president. I think he would even beat Sen. Obama. I do agree that if Sen. Obama after all is said and the popular vote counted and the pledge delegate math over and done if he is ahead in both then I guess the super delegates should put him over the top. However I got a problem with them too... All this talk about respect the vote of the people... Well does that mean the Sen. Clinton will get all superdelegates from the states she has won??? Including in Massachusetts the likes of
Sen. Ted Kennedy (God bless him)
Gov. Deval Patrick
Sen. John Kerry
Sen. Ted Kennedy
Rep. William Delahunt
Rep. Michael Capuano

In Calafornia
Rep. Anna Eshoo
Rep. Xavier Becerra
Rep. Barbara Lee
Rep. Adam Schiff
Rep. George Miller
Rep Zoe Lofgren
Rep. Linda Sanchez
Hon. Eric Garcetti

all of whom endorsed Sen. Obama

ect.
All Caucases should be eliminated from our selection process as they are biased and are discriminating against Senior Citizens as well as Americans with Disabilities. This system is to Senior Citizens and Americans with Disabilities what the Jim Crow laws were to African Americans. Most of these Caucases last a very long time and run late into the night which really puts an undue burden on Senior Citizens and Americans with Disabilities. Why can we not have an all primary system. If I were Sen. Clinton I would challenge all Caucas delegates received by Sen. Obama as this system disenfranchises a large part of her base, Senior Citizens. What would the delegate count really be if only the primary states were counted!
I was born in 1920 and the first president I ever voted for was Franklin D. Roosevelt. He later drafted me and I was off to WWII. I have always voted Democrat.

I watched us shoot ourselves in the foot twice with Adlai Stevenson, then twice again with Hubert Humphrey and George McGovern. I saw the infighting from the far left with Jimmy Carter and his defeat at the hands of a Hollywood nobody. We did it again with Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, and Kerry moving farther and farther to the left. We are now on the brink of having a junior senator with all of one year experience and by far on of the farthest left candidates in the history of our party as our Nominee. I guess than now I must open my mouth and say something to the rest of my team. I may never get the chance to vote in another presidential election so I guess now I must speak and I hope that my comments do not offend anyone I mean no harm or bad intent. I marched for civil rights and am no racist but I do not see where Senator Obama has the neither the knowledge nor experience to lead our team. With Senator Obama as our nominee we will be defeated just as bad if not worse than Mondale and McGovern. I am not saying that he will not get any votes because he will but remember John Kerry received over 59 million votes and lost. Al Gore won the popular vote with over 48% over 50 million votes and still lost. We cannot base this election on HOPE... We HOPE the African American voting block can carry the south and we HOPE that Senator Obama will receive 50 million plus votes in a general election... to do so is fatuous. I can not name one piece of legislation or one lifetime achievement of Senator Obama that gives him audacity to even seek our nomination. Just because Gorge Bush is the most unpopular president in history does not in itself guarantee our victory in November, we must not be complacent. We must put forth a Nominee that is able to compete. I am not saying that Senator Clinton is a better person than Senator Obama. I just know she is the stronger Nominee. I do not HOPE to win in November... I WANT US TO WIN!!!!!!!!!   Read More »
The way I figure it if we go by the book with regards to Florida and Michigan. Both states loose 50% of delegates Sen. Clinton receives 50% of her total delegates in Michigan and Sen. Obama 0 delegates for voluntary taking his name off ballot(He knew he was going to loose)in Florida Sen. Clinton receives 50% of her total delegates and Sen. Obama 0 delegates for Running T.V. adds in Florida. By my math Sen. Clinton picks up a net of 112 delegates making this a much closer race. Now that's what the Rules state if you go by the book. Now will the will Rules Committee follow rules... or will the Dean machine again only go by the book when it favors Him and rewrite the rules as it goes where results do not favor him... What is going to happen...

I wonder what would happen if Hillary Clinton and Ron Paul would team up on an independent ticket. Now that could lead to neither McCain nor Obama winning enough electoral votes to win... How would the Senate vote then?

I am sorry to say this but I think we as a party are in denial. Racism is alive and well in the US despite the fact that I hate racist. I am a Catholic and remember the KKK hated not only blacks but Catholics and Jews alike. Sen. Obama can not win the South no matter how many black votes he brings to the table. We have got to stop kidding ourselves. We have been playing into the GOP's hands all along.
No Democrat has won the White House since Woodrow Wilson in 1916 without carrying West Virginia. Clearly he won't carry West Virginia. But lets see, He can not carry Florida nor Michigan nor Ohio nor Texas and he will not have a good showing in the rest of the bible belt either. Go ahead and face it. McCain is already making out his inaugural ball invitation list and we are not invited. Thanks again Howard Dean. It is no secret how you feel about the Clintons, but did you have to sacrifice the whole party just to get back at them. You are a loser. I will be glad when your gone.

Earl Long once said, "I consider myself 40 percent Catholic and 60 percent Baptist. but I'm in favor of every religion, with the possible exception of snake-chunking. Anybody that so presumes on how he stands with Providence that he will let a snake bite him, I say he deserves what he's got coming to him." Well looks like Howard Dean and the Super Loony Super Left just put that snake right in our hands. We let them do it too... I guess we deserve what we got coming... Another 4 years of the GOP.
