I think Joe will be the pick on Thursday by the presumptive nominee. He brings a similar gravitas that Lyndon B. Johnson brought to Kennedy. He is strong on foreign policy, much more thoughtful than John McCain; he brings a wealth of experience on issues ranging from Banking, Foreign Policy, health care - he has been on of the Senators on the front lines of many major issues important to democrats. He will strengthen the ticket more than any other potential VP - IMHO - What do you think?
What Hillary supports I support, because her principles are based in the democratic party principles. What Barack supports I support, because his principles are based in the democratic party principles. If you believe in fair pay for a fair days labor If you believe in the right to organize If you believe no one can tell a women what to do with their body If you believe that healthcare is not a privilege but a right If you believe that educating children is everyone's responsibility - parents, teachers, volunteers If you believe teachers should be paid like the true professionals that they are If you believe like I do these and so many more democratic principles are important for the next 4 years - we have seen how 8 years of republican principles get us...we have seen
From NBC's Chuck Todd Per multiple sources inside the closed Rules and Bylaws Committee lunch, Obama actually had the votes to get a 50-50 delegate split out of Michigan -- but by just a vote or two. However, it was decided to go with the 69-59 split to win a larger majority. That measure passed 19-8. *** UPDATE *** Also, according to those with knowledge of the Michigan agreement, it is fair to claim Clinton the winner of Michigan. But they caution against counting her popular vote in the state.
Now that MI and FL stuff is over, what is Obama's approach to claiming victory and Hillary's approach to suspending her campaign, not ending, suspending?
The Rules Committee has several options. The fairest would be to allocate those 57 [uncommitted] pledged delegates, to Clinton and Obama by the same ratio of their standing to one another in the average of the most recent Michigan statewide polls prior to the Jan. 15 primary. Or perhaps one Solomonic compromise, more generous to Obama than to Clinton, would be to divide the remaining delegates approximately 50-50 between the two of them, 28-27 (giving Clinton the extra delegate since she led in all the latest statewide polls prior to Jan. 15).

Responding to those who had called on her to withdraw from the Democratic Party's presidential race, Mrs Clinton said: "My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June... We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it."
Might be a problem for her - here is her apology
The New York senator later expressed her regret at any offence her comments may have caused.
"I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation - and in particular the Kennedy family - was in any way offensive. I certainly had no intention of that whatsoever."

FACTS - And before anyone kills me, let me say I am an Obama supporter and willing to have Clinton on the ticket in the GE - I think it is the best way to heal the party, and in this year - if we have a unified party we win, hands down.
H. Wolfson mentioned more than once momentum change should put Hillary in supers mind as first place - hear are the numbers - delegates pledged by month - doesn't seem like huge momentum shift?
January - Obama - 81 Clinton - 46
Super Tuesday - Obama 847 Clinton - 834
Rest of February - Obama - 288 Clinton - 165
March - Obama - 210 Clinton - 205
April/May - Obama - 227 Clinton - 249

This post is to get the point of view of strong Hillary supporters. I know this race is not over yet, but assuming Obama wins, could you support a ticket with Hillary as the VP, assuming she wants it?
A good night for Hillary Clinton! She ran a great race in WV. To bad this state was not held in February. Good luck Obama in the GE
We have many questions to ask ourselves. Can we win without Hillary on the ticket? Can Obama pick his choice for VP, or would his obvious choice be Hillary? Should we go with one of Hillary supporters or should be go with the Kansas Governor, she is great - should we go with Virginia governor a devout Christian. Many questions to consider but a good feeling to be worrying about the BIG battle.
I would like to congratulate the next president of the United States of America, John McCain. He beat B. Obama handedly, with a large democratic cross over vote.
President McCain went on to nominate 2 conservative judges on the supreme court who overturned Roe v. Wade
2. Nominated more conservative judges in 4 years then Bush did in 8 to junior courts
3. Lowered more taxes for corporations and enacted more free trade deals
4. We are now in a war with Iran and Osama is still at large terrorism looms everyday
5. Economy is good for some but bad for most - but we have our guns and our religion and our ....well that's it.

Is this Texas all over again - Obama with the lead losing to Clinton - this time visa versa?
If you listened to Clinton she wqas magnanomous and gracious - I beleive she will by the end of the primary season will concede and the Michigan and Florida delegates will be seated and she will be the VP candidate and the dems will get their biggest margin of victory ever!
If Obama is within 2% Hillary should drop out - just kidding! We will have supers out tomorrow!
Supers Supers Supers - Great speech by Obama!

Keep in mind the heavy Obama areas have not come in yet. He will be within 3 - 5 points at the end of the night. This by any measure is a good night for Obama - bad news for the last month and he pulls off a decisive victory.
I think this primary season has been bad news - I don't know how we pull this party back together? I don't know, it troubles me. People will vote in November on their emotions in this party I beleive and that means Clinton, nor Obama will be president - we will Elect President McCain - President McCain - okay beginning to get use to the sound - maybe I will need to...Where did we go wrong? Don't answer that :)
Why is the anger so intense tonight -
Obama is a NUT
Obama is a CRACKHEAD
Obama is big brother
I will vote for McCain
I did not read this venom last night, what gives?

M. Obama
H. Clinton
B. Clinton
C. Clinton
Rev. Wright
J. McCain
Just to lighten up the atmosphere.

His "performance" yesterday was bad for black people and his own cause of reconciliation. However, it gave Barack the opportunity to do what he did today - a clean break. I think this may refocus the campaign which has not been focused over the last month.
