On one hand, I want to be amused. Steve Colbert is running for President. Just saying that makes you laugh. I can't believe he's actually taking it this far, even if he is only running in South Carolina. The man is hilarious, and you have to love his satire style. Running on both sides? He'd better hurry up and have a sex scandal so he can assimilate himself into the Republican party.
On the other (more serious) hand, I am offended. He's making a mockery of the POTUS elections and obviously does not actually care about solving problems in our country or mending foreign policy, et cetera. Not to mention, all of the voters out there who don't take the election too seriously and will vote for Colbert are probably going to be Democrats, no? If he keeps this up, he could take votes away from the Democratic candidate. Not that it would matter because of the damned electoral college, but anyway.
I'm interested in hearing what the other Presidential hopefuls will have to say about this...Who here would seriously consider voting for Colbert?
Thoughts?

Hi, everybody. I have started making Barack Obama t-shirts. They don't have his logo or anything, but they're cheap! So, general information:
The shirts can be either tank tops or t-shirts, and they come in MOST colors and sizes. The lettering on the shirts also comes in MOST colors.
If you would like one, please contact me through the site. I am making them on an as-ordered basis, so feel free to choose your own colors as well as sizes. I can't guarantee that I will have the colors you want, but it is likely. :) Each shirt will be eight dollars- that will be enough for me to break even on the t-shirt costs, take care of shipping, and send the rest to the Barack Obama campaign!
I am posting the designs & their descriptions in EP; these are just random colors I chose to make my samples. I realize that the black-and-white tank top sucks ass, but I have since learned how to use an iron all by myself (and without scorching the fabric!), and I promise you that I shall not send you an effed-up shirt.

"U.S. officials have argued in court papers against granting lawyers access to the high-value detainees without special security rules, fearing that attorney-client conversations could reveal classified elements of the CIA's secret detention program and its controversial interrogation tactics."
Yeah, I guess I'd be pretty concerned if I were a CIA official using questionable and unconventional methods of interrogation, too. Read More »

I think he's a jack-ass in the first degree.
I also think that on the eve of the primaries, he's going to take his mask off and reveal Lyndon LaRouche...Just a thought.

What do you think? Good idea? Bad idea? Does it make cops more eager to arrest illegal immigrants? Bad use for Virginian tax dollars?
Let me know.
Granted, I don't think there are better Republican choices this election, but I mean in general.
Would you be willing to vote for a Republican if you thought that he or she would truly do a good job as President?
I suppose the vice-presidential debate that occurred between Edwards and Cheney last election still sticks in my mind. Cheney is evil. He is smart and he is evil. We all acknowledge that, right? That being said, he completely kicked Edwards's ass. The evil man won that debate and left Edwards looking like a fool (which, I should think, was a correct impression).
So, why do people like him? His platform seems decent enough, but I mean as a man. Can he really run a country?
Oh, I also just want to say that the people who run the paper at my school need to get some perspective. The front page headline this morning read, and I quote: Wawa to close up shop by next week (No explanation offered for sudden departure; store was popular among night-owls and students).
What the hell??
Who's your choice? Let me know.
