Mark will be facing former Governor Jim Gilmore, he man who nearly bankrupted the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Tom, is the first viable candidate we in the 5th Congressional District have in many years. Read More »
Both camps are now complaining they can't vote for the other because of the negativity directed at their choice of candidate?
Good thing we are not politicians, we would never make it in the real world.
Please insert Obama/HRC as interchangeable. Both camps are guilty.
Sorry for the lack of editing time spent on the post and ensueing confusion.........
Peace,

I have always made it a point to consider many HRC supporters as friends and compatriots in this race. But I just read a post where many made comments such as: "I'll write in Hillary in Nov.", or "I'll vote Democrat, but not Obama" etc..... Read More »
The same people post the same junk day after day and the good posts get buried.
I am taking a hiatus from this place until AFTER the primaries are over.
Go on and cut your own throats...time will tell...
Good luck to both of our candidates, maybe once it's decided the stupidity will cease.
Now that I have your attention: One day after Equal Pay Day, a minority of primarily Republican senators once again made it harder for women workers to overcome pay discrimination. The Senate failed to cut off debate on the Fair Pay Restoration Act (S. 1843) and bring the bill to the floor for a vote. The 56-42 margin fell four votes short of the 60 needed to end debate and vote on the bill. The House passed the legislation in July 2007.
That is from the AFL-CIO blog. Read my post last night entitled "A sad day for women."
I hope some of those that think McCain is an option read this and see just how the Republican voted on this.
This is from the National women's Law Center.
Tonight, I stood with Lilly Ledbetter in the U.S. Capitol as the Senators voted on a motion to advance the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, a key bill that would have a major impact on the lives of women who’ve been subject to pay discrimination.
While significantly more than a majority of Senators voted to proceed on the bill, we didn’t get the 60 votes necessary to move to the next big step â€" scheduling a debate and vote on the bill itself. This was a travesty of justice, and a hard vote to witness.
But the fight isn’t over. Tonight’s vote was a cruel blow to American women and families. But we have already generated great support and this issue isn’t going to go away. We're calling on the Senate leadership to continue to bring up this bill until it passes.
The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act deserves fair consideration on the Senate floor. Now, we need you to help us turn up the heat on the Senate to get the job done.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and now have to monitor my blood sugar on a regular basis. I'm not looking for concern or pity, I am learning to live with it and focused on staying healthy.
The diagnosis and ensuing ordeal dealing with my insurance made me re-realize just what a racket the healthcare industry has become.
I'm lucky...I work for a Fortune 500 company, and my insurance is better than many people have. That being said, the battle to have my supplies and medication covered has left me weary and angry.
Since when, should some clerk in an office 1/2 way across the country be more qualified to diagnose my health than the family doctor that has known me for years, and knows my families health history?
I would call on everyone to write or call their candidate, congressman or woman and Senators to encourage them to work for REAL reform.
Since I refrain from doing so, I'll let the rest of you have at it.

What is she? The drunk America needs answering the phone at 3 a.m.? Hell, she would still be at the bar at 3 a.m.
Just laugh, don't get offended...it was one more of her attempts to show how "connected" she is with the shrinking middle class, and I felt like putting a spin on it!
First of all, I think you are a liar and a dummy.
Then I hope you can look yourself in the mirror everyday as more American kids are marched off to die in Iraq.
I hope that it isn't your child that goes.
I hope you don't lose your home or job as "your chosen candidate" fails the American people for another 4-8 years.
Not happy with the way the Democratic party works. It a simple fix.
Get off your lazy ass, join your local and state party and be a part of the solution instead of the problem.
Otherwise...just shut the hell up!
thanks for letting me vent ....
Peace
