Just my opinion

Knowing contentment one does not suffer disgrace, Knowing when to stop one does not become exhausted. This way one may last long. --The Tao Te Ching (#44) by Lao Tzu, translated by Ellen M. Chen.

Last night Hillary Clinton made a very difficult heart warming speech, after winning in the South Dakota primary, in which she congratulated Barack O8ama for his primary success. She then went on to thank a multitude of campaign staff employees, her supporters, etc. Hillary then ended her speech with not knowing what her next move will be.

This statement, which I paraphrased, has been misinterpreted into meaning that she is not conceding. Well, duh!! On the last primary day in which all the votes are not even counted she's supposed to come out and concede? No way! Why should she be forced, or coerced, into conceding by CNN, Fox, MSNBC, or any other MEDIA outlet's schedule?

In the first place, she had 18 million votes, which is about the same as O8ama had, so she must ensure that the voters that voted for her are duly represented by the Democratic party platform agenda. She will ensure that before she concedes Barack will unite with her in creating the Democratic party agenda. Just as John Edwards did before throwing his support behind O8ama. It's just the way it works, and she owes that to her supporters.

Secondly, is the possibility of a political appointment amongst the O8ama administration. She will need to think out how she feels about a potential request from Barack O8ama. That's only natural. How would she fit into his administration and/or is that what she wants to do with her future, not to mention the political capital that she has developed through this campaign.

Lastly, is the fact that she does not need to concede in a negative 'I lost and Barack won' fashion. In my mind she conceded on Tuesday night when she congratulated O8ama and thanked all of her staff and supporters. It has been a long, very long, hard campaign. Give her a break and allow her to assess where she goes from here. All of this talk that she did not concede was generated by the media that is hoping that she will do as Harold Ickes warned and take her fight to Denver.

Beware the media hype because that is precisely what this concession, no concession, story is about.

You know ignorance just amazes me. I don't know, is it ignorance, or just unrestrained passion for your chosen candidate? How about at the next primary, say 2012, or 2016, we just allow the states to have their primaries at any time they wish? In fact, since there's a big push to be first, how about if we just have all the primaries/caucuses on January 1? Won't matter how we start 'em off; a green flag, or a starters pistol will work just fine. We don't need order, or organization, hell that just confuses the results. The fact is that this whole thing was supposed to be over on Feb. 5th, and none of this MI and FL stuff would have mattered. But wait, something happened on the way to the ho-hum convention that was designed to coronate Hillary president for her years of public service. Yep, something happened, more and more people began believing in someone. People began believing that maybe we could take back our government. Oh well, it is past time that Hillary supporters began the process of sucking it up. People want change. The youth of America that is solidly behind Barack O8ama are tired of their despair they feel for their future at the hands of the present politics as usual Washington DC environment. Hillary Rodham Clinton we love you! It is sad the turn of events that happened to this country since your husband was president. However, it is because of those turn of events that we feel we need a fresh start at securing our country and especially our future. No O8ama supporter is truly against Hillary, but we all are for ourselves and our future. We simply sense that we need a total break away from the failed policies (lies?) of the past 40 - 50 years of our countries past. We need O8ama for the future.
What is a loss? Well, in politics a loss does not necessarily indicate the end of something, or anything. Therefore, it was a huge victory for Hillary. One in which she needs as an uplift from her eventual loss to Barack O8ama of the democratic nomination.

However, it's not a loss to Barack O8ama because the delegate math (including Florida and Michigan) indicates that after WV Hillary will need to win in excess of 70% of the vote in each of the remaining primaries to secure the nomination.

So, a loss is not a loss when the ultimate win is just weeks away, but a win is huge when one is on the threshold of losing.
does this poem mean that I hate America? Does it mean that I'm unpatriotic? Will the DNC completely ban me from their blog after posting this again? Please stop being totally idiotic and un-Democratic. If you desire to help McCain, then, go to his site blog (if he has one), or the RNC blog and spew your vitriolic comments about Obama and Clinton. Oh, yeah, and now the poem (in the extended)...I hope you HATE me for it!

BTW, I wrote this poem shortly after 11 September 2001

Well, I guess I can't use the extended function either. Man, has this blog ever gone to H***! So, here it is, hate me now haters!

I wrote this poem shortly after 9/11/2001

Oh, say ma,
By the way,
I do love you!!

Sorry ma, for being so deadened
In the name of freedom, there
Is no reason for resentment.

You must agree, though, lately
The temper tantrums,
Are much out of hand. Huh, what say?
I cannot hear your blighted
Utterance over the sound of our equality.

I love you, ma, but only because I do agree
With your main argument: that
There is only one God.
My heart has been saddened, that
Through our agreement, we learn
Only disagreement and hatred.

We are the stronger victim all right,
Now you’re a man without a world.
What do you mean the world hasn’t changed?
We annihilated your annihilation, we offered your
People our freedoms. They bit from our apple
And saw it is good.
The world is black and white,
We’re up and you’re down, in and out, back
And forth, over and under, through.
Bigger,
Better,
Righter.

A spade is just a shovel, Muhammad and Jesus,
Two men under God. With liberty
And justice…

God bless America,
And forgive us our sin.
Please, thank you, and Amen.

That's right. Happy War Mongers Day. It was on 19 March 2003 that our present administration, with the full backing of Project of the New American Century, began the task of permanently destabilizing our planet. It was all done in the guise of our own safety and security. They strike us, and then we strike back; on steroids. The end result (no pun, please) has been a virtual reinstatement of the cold war with a twist, this time instead of just two super powers living in distrust of each others motives it is basically all of the planets governmental organizations. Yep, War Mongers Day has been a huge success for the defense industry, the oil industry, and hell basically anyone whom dwells in the upper two percentile of income. It's also so much easier having war than it was to try have peace. You know, drop a few bombs; launch a few cruise missiles, wipe out a civilization, or two, it's much easier than all that negotiation crap; talking; compromising... Naw, no more, now it's do it our way, or you're done. Therefore, be sure to take your shotgun into the street tonight, or out onto your balcony if you're lucky enough to have one, and fire that baby at the moon. I mean the one in the sky, not your neighbors. We need to show our leaders how much we appreciate the freedom we feel for not having to learn how to have peace. NPAC forever, bay-bee! Make more war. No more peace. It's for our security don't cha know? P.S. Feel free to comment on my personal blog, as I cannot access my blog page on Party Builder to comment back. They allow me to post, but since usually nobody responds to me anyway I guess the feel I don't need full activity.

I often times post some of my poetry and do not know why I did not post this poem because I specifically like what it means about the love that ALL mothers present to their children, and how we children adapt to the will of our mothers without even realizing we are adapting; intuitively! I hope you enjoy this poem!

It has come to light that the new Governor from New York has repeatedly used the services of the world's oldest profession; PROSTITUTION! Oh me, oh my! How could this man be so human? I'll bet if we continue shaking this carpet we'll find many more politicians that have engaged in the profession of ill-repute. However, we won't disclose any information until it is convenient for us to use this information for political bounty.

What is this "Emperor's Club"? Did The Governor from New York drive his limo, or rather, his State Police body guard drive the governor's limo to a street corner deep into the bowels of New York City and pick up a homeless drug addict to perform some inarticulate and gross sexual act? No! This is a club for very rich, very influential people to remove their sexual tensions and/or anxieties. This Ashley Youmans knew what she was doing. She was earning quite a lucrative salary for doing it.

Now that a very good governors career has been ruined we can examine the importance of Mr. Spitzer's resignation over this issue. It's stupid, but it also sets precedent. We still currently have a Senator hanging out in Washington that picks up men in airport restrooms. Talk about sleazy! I would have much preferred if Senator Craig utilized an escort service, but he's still in office refusing to admit any wrong doing (he was set up ya know).

Thinking of being set up. I find it interesting that it was Attorney General Spitzer that broke up one of these "services" arresting 18 people, and now this happens to him. I feel sad for the loss of the people of New York. I also feel sad for the stress that this places on the former governor and his family.

How could he do this to his wife is the most opted question. To which I must reply with a rhetorical question of why does anyone think that the oldest profession is still a profession? Anybody would have to be a fool not to understand the stress on a relationship of couples in their forties and early fifties. I'm not going to get into titles and accusations because they are completely dolt. Also, I'm not making excuses for Mr. Spitzer, but I am just trying to look at this situation realistically, and realistically it is nobody's fault.

Therefore, the question I now have is why must we destroy a man's future because he was fulfilling a physiological need? Should he be censured? YES! Should he have to make remunerations for his actions? YES! But should he have his career destroyed and be dragged through the puritan fire pit? NO!

In conclusion, I bid farewell to who might have been New York's finest governor had our world not gone over the edge of puritan perfection. Politics truly is a nasty business.
1 Corinthians 12:12-27
(NRSV) For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--Jews or Greeks, slaves or free--and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. Indeed, the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot would say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear would say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many members, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you," nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you." On the contrary, the members of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and those members of the body that we think less honorable we clothe with greater honor, and our less respectable members are treated with greater respect; whereas our more respectable members do not need this. But God has so arranged the body, giving the greater honor to the inferior member, that there may be no dissension within the body, but the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
I think many people on this blog really need to think about what this passage means. IMHO!

In reference to Hillary's latest attempt at irrationalization in which she tried to purport that some choose to live in an illusionary world I have this to say. Yep, she's right, we're not going to wave the magic wand and all the lobbyist' will disappear. Especially when the said lobbyist' are in her back pocket.

Oh, that's right, damn, her campaign's broke isn't it? No Mo' lobbyist money there, it's all used up, gone, like the clean air over the Potomac; gone. Using her own money to fund her campaign now, she is. But that Obama, huh, he's the money laundering kingpin of the lobbyist' dreams. Look at all the money he took in last month alone. Ah, yes, now we see why she cried broke last month.

This is all I have to say to Hillary's latest gaffe:

John 20:19-23 (NRSV)

When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you." After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."

Y'all better get on over to CNN and vote on this poll because look at the results:

This is not a scientific poll
A question was poised to each of yesterday by Deborah Williams pertaining to what we would do if "our" candidate did not win the nomination. I, using Ms. Williams' question/choices decided to make a little poll courtesy of survey monkey just to see how we would do. I posted the poll link on the open thread (DNC) and PB blog, and now as promised here are the results of the twelve, yes 12, responses to this poll.
Okay enough of trashing our candidates, and our party, because the candidate in which we may desire may seem to be struggling. I, for one, agree with Howard Dean that we are fortunate to have two fantastic candidates. All of this infighting will do nothing, but give McCain ammunition against our victor, no matter who that is, in the general election.

If you cannot promote your candidates views and strengths without posting media tripe about their opponent, and other negative slams then, please just keep your negativity to yourself. Please let's clean up the posts, stay positive, and in the name of true liberalism stay progressive.

Please read, in the extended, what Howard Dean has to day about Barack and Hillary.   Read More »

Exit polls: Obama stealing Clinton's base

Posted: 08:23 PM ET (CNN) —

Barack Obama did well with Virginia Democrats across both race and gender lines, and seems to be eating away at Hillary Clinton's backbone of support: women. According to exit polls, Obama won nearly 60 percent of the female vote, a demographic that has carried Clinton to success in past primaries. Clinton even fared worse among men in Virginia – more than two-thirds chose Obama. Meanwhile, the Illinois senator scored his highest percentage of African-American support to date — winning close to 90 percent of that voting bloc. And the two evenly split the white vote as whole, even though in past primaries Clinton has held a slight edge among white voters. The only demographic Clinton won in Virginia was among white women, who broke for her over Obama by 10 points. But that margin is significantly smaller than the national average on Super Tuesday. She beat Obama among white women by 25 points then, according to national exit polls.

Who do you like best for president?

John McCain 22% 83374
Mike Huckabee 11% 42891
Hillary Clinton 24% 91188
Barack Obama 44% 168336

Total Votes: 385789

Hillary camp better start freeping this poll!!;~b

We all know the ambiguity of Joe Lieberman, right? We all know the underhanded tactics he took to win his reelection campaign in 2006. What happens if he decides to join forces with McCain, as an independent, to run as McCain's VP. Does anybody perceive this as a potentiality?

I was responding to freedom of speech's beautiful day post, but now wish all have easy access to my response. This is something that I think, from reading many too many posts on this blog, that we all need to come to terms with. Here's the link We the people need solidarity and the response is also in the extended here.   Read More »

CNN reports that with 44% of the precincts reporting Obama has 57% and Clinton has 42% in the Maine caucus. I was over at the local caucus today, in Old Orchard Beach, and Hillary actually won by seven votes; 150 - 143, with 5 undecided.

I do not think the town expected such a large turnout. They originally had the caucus scheduled for the Middle school cafeteria, and then switched the location to the Gym.

Go Obama!
