Sarah DiAngelo's Policy Blog
About the Author
A blog about policies that matter to progressive Democrats, with a smattering of pure politics from time to time.
Please go to my blog on the Obama site for my blog one and only blog post entitled "Why I Reject Identity Politics." If you're a former HRC supporter, you may relate!
Today's blog: short, but sweet! General Clark is right! You go, Sir! I think we all know people who've done brave things, people who've saved lives, people who've sacrificed themselves for the greater good, or because they were told to (as in the case of Vietnam--sorry, guys, I'm 53--I would have gone to jail for three years because that was really the right thing to do). My father was in World War II. Could he have been president? Well, he probably could have done a better job than Reagan or Bush-Bush, you get my drift, though.
Wesley's right, and Obama needs to grow a pair (or borrow one of Hillary's, as so magnanimously suggested by James Carville) if he wants to appeal to the general electorate. He must not become Carter II, McGovern, and Dukakis. There're to guys he should emulate--the only two Dems to be elected twice since I don't know when, FDR and Bill Clinton.
What's your take?
