The only way to begin a true healing process between Hillary's supporters and Obama, would be for him to take her as his V.P. Despite the fact that this is probably his best, and maybe only chance to defeat McCain in November, Obama will never choose Hillary.

His ego won't let him do it. His followers won't admit that Hillary could help him win. Their level of hatred towards Hillary knows no bounds. In the end, Obama has a choice of taking someone who will anger Hillary's supporters, or Hillary.

Kathleen Sebelius is a cynical choice, that brings very little electoral college help to the ticket. Choosing her would be like saying "How about this 60+ y.o. white woman instead?" I can't imagine that would go over well.

Choosing anyone else virtually guarantees taking another man. Ed Rendel, Wes Clark, the traitor - Bill Richardson, etc. are not substitutes for Hillary. They did not win primaries in important states, or the popular vote.

By not taking Hillary as his running mate, Obama risks alienating 15-40% of her supporters. Can he really afford for those people to sit home, or worse, vote for McCain?

I'm afraid true healing will not come unless Hillary gets on the ticket, and I just don't see Barack or Michelle ever letting that happen. Someone needs to tell him that the dream is to win in November, not to risk losing the election "on his own terms".
I am hearing that after treating Hillary and her supporters badly for the last five months, the DNC and Obama expect all us misguided folks will forgive and forget, and line up behind The Chosen One.

I had planned to write in Hillary's name for President and vote for all the Dems further down ticket, but now I'm not so sure. My anger over the high handedness of Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, et al. is such that I'm having a hard time feeling much loyalty to this Party.

While I will NEVER vote for McSame, or any other Republican, I'm not sure how motivated I feel to vote for any Democrat this year.

I know one thing: I will NEVER vote for the Obamessiah! I refuse to reward the discriminatory and underhanded methods used to attack Hillary and her supporters. I do take personal offense at being told that Bill, Hillary and anyone who supports them, are uneducated racists. I refuse to reward a man who praises Ronald Reagan and George Herbert Walker Bush, and at the same time trashes the accomplishments of the Clinton administration.

I have seen numerous posts from Obama supporters telling disgruntled Hillary supporters to shut up and go away. That they don't need us come November. I will follow their wishes and leave them to get their candidate to perform a miracle, and get elected without people like me.

One thing the leaders of the Democratic Party should consider, both I and my money will be staying on the sidelines for 2008.

I know that there are many others that feel the way I do! When Obama loses in November, the blame should be laid at the feet of our Party leaders. Instead, they will blame Hillary and start printing up the "Obama 2008" bumper stickers.

There seems to be a rumor circulating on the internet that there is a video in which Michelle Obama stood up at her church and testified about the evils of "Whitey", and she wasn't talking about Whitey Ford. Daily Kos, an Obama supporter, has said the real danger in this rumor is its believability. If true, would this video be enough to sway the super delegates to go with Hillary? http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/05/19/obama-freakout-over-michelle-video-the-ticking-whitey-time-bomb/
This is what the super delegates should consider - Obama is not as strong as Hillary in an electoral college match up!

I just watched Dan Abrams' panel on MSNBC laugh at to possibility that Obama could have any revelation come out before November that will hurt his chances. What incredible hubris! Have we forgotten Swiftboat already? Republicans and their 527's will make up stuff, if they can't dig it up. The Rev. Wright story was well known for over a year in press circles before Fox News ran with it. It's pretty bad when you have to look to Tucker Carlson or Pat Buchanan to inject a bit of sanity into the conversation with the Obamaniacs over at MSNBC.

They also talked about the possibilty of Hillary actively trying to sabotage Obama's chances for the General, so that she can run again in 2012. Not only do they want Hillary out of the race, they want to scapegoat her for Obama's eventual defeat, setting up the Obama 2012 nomination. Tonight they called Hillary's 35 point win in Kentucky a draw against Obama's 16 point win (currently) in Oregon. When Obama won N.C. and Hillary barely won Indiana, that was an Obama "Blow Out".

How do other Hillary suporters feel about the press coverage of the Clinton campaign?
