Senate Bill 976 – Genomics and Personalized Medicine Act of 2007 was introduced in the Senate March 23, 2007 by Senator Barack Obama. It is obvious that he did not write this bill but had an institution help or write in it’s entirety. It is a bill to secure the promise of personalized medicine for all Americans by expanding and accelerating genomics research and initiatives to improve the accuracy of disease diagnosis, increase the safety of drugs, and identify novel treatments. . Obama has sponsored a genetics-related bill twice in his approximately three years in the Senate; both times the legislation stalled in Senate committees. The reason that I have watched this bill is because in speaking with my doctor, he was told me that the Federal Government was not giving doctors the option of maintaining their records as they use to. This in it’s self raised an alarm for me. I had heard about the “wonderful database that would allow a patient to receive medical treatment anywhere in the US. Your medical records would be only a step away and it would eliminate a lot of the medical questions and provide you with proper treatment almost immediately.†Now, I’m not one to count on my government for treatment of anything, but had wondered about some of the genetics testing I was hearing about. I have been digging even deeper and found an interesting thing called Washington G-2 Reports. Who ever heard of that! It starts April 9, 2007. Bipartisan bills recently introduced in the Senate have sharpened the legislative focus on federal regulation of genetic testing. Both agree that some level of oversight is needed in this fast-growing—and promising—diagnostics and therapeutics market, but the bills diverge on what that level should be and who should enforce it. The bills are: • S. 736, the Laboratory Test Improvement Act, sponsored by Edward Kennedy (D-MA), chairman of the Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP) Committee, with ranking Republican Gordon Smith (OR) as co-sponsor, and • S. 976, the Genomics & Personalized Medicine Act, sponsored by Barack Obama (D-IL), with co-sponsor Richard Burr (R-NC), both members of the HELP Committee. Clinical laboratory and pathology organizations warn that more federal oversight could impede progress in personalized medicine based on genomics. Lab-developed tests (LDTs) make up a large portion of this work, the groups note, including in-house developed tests and in-house modifications of approved kits. And LDTs already are regulated for analytic validity under the highest CLIA category for lab test performance (high complexity), they note. Sen. Senator Barack Obama has said that he is a friend of gun owners. Not so according to his legislative record. He has introduced the Global Poverty Act of 2007. It sounds good. When you start looking at the total package all tied up in bright red ribbon you will see that it is farce.
It is all tied up bright red ribbon with the UNITED NATIONS MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS, General Resolution 55/2 (2000). In 2000, the United States joined more than 180 countries at the United Nations Millennium Summit and vowed to reduce global poverty by 2015. It requires the President to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further the United States foreign policy objective of promoting the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people worldwide, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day.
This all sounds very good, kind and compassionate.
But let’s take it a step further and really look at the guts of this. The United Nations says that "The commitment to provide 0.7% of gross national product (GNP) as official development assistance was first made 35 years ago in a General Assembly resolution, but it has been reaffirmed repeatedly over the years, including at the 2002 global Financing for Development conference in Monterrey, Mexico, which President Bush attended. However, in 2004, total aid from the industrialized countries totaled just $78.6 billion-or about 0.25% of their collective Gross National Product." The Global Poverty Act adds little value but could mistakenly convey implicit United States support for the broader range of statistic economics in fashion at the United Nations, chief of which is that developed countries should provide 0.7 percent of their gross domestic product annually to developing countries. Such a commitment would require U.S. taxpayers to fund foreign aid at more than quadruple current levels, at an amount of $100 billion per year. There is little, if any evidence, that such a sum is necessary would really encourage any development.

We have dealt with the International Criminal Court Treaty before and found that it would not benefit the people of the United States. It would give the Court the right to try our soldiers as war criminals. Maybe Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi and her family would be tried there for their crimes of war. President Bush has said that he would not support the idea of a World Court.
This Senate Bill 2433 was passed out of the Senate back to the House for ratification. Please send your Representative a letter telling them not to ratify this bill.

Thanks for sending out an alert about Obama. We are living and working in Kenya for almost twelve years now and know his family (tribe) well. They are the ones who were behind the recent Presidential election chaos here. Thousands of people have been displaced by election violence (over 350,000) and I don’t know the last count of the dead. Obama under ‘friends of Obama’ gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga , who is a socialist trained in East Germany. He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for trying to subvert this country! December 27th elections brought cries from ODM (Odinga Camp) of rigged election. Obama and Raila speak daily. As we watch Obama rise in the US we are sure that whatever happens, he will use the same tactic, crying rigged election if he doesn’t win and possibly cause a race war in America.
What we would like you to know is what the American press has been keeping a dirty little secret. Obama IS a Muslim and he IS a racist and this is a fulfillment of the 911 threat that was just the beginning. Jihad is the only true Muslim way. We have been working with them for 20 years this July! He is not an American as we know it. Please encourage your friends and associates not to be taken in by those that are promoting him. It is world wide Jihad. All our friends in Europe are very disturbed by the Muslim infiltration into their countries. By the way. His true name is Barak Hussein Muhammed Obama. Won’t that sound sweet to our enemies as they swear him in on the Koran!

I suppose it is too much to ask of Obama supporters to read the following material and appreciate the arrogance and ignorance displayed by Senator Barack Obama, but folks, it appears he is going to do for Africa what George Bush has done for Iraq. Only worse. He is taking sides in a tribal war in Kenya that is on the verge of becoming a Rwanda-like genocide.
When Obama went to Kenya in August of 2006, he was hosted by Raila and spoke in praise of him at rallies in Nairobi.
Obama's bias for his fellow Luo was so blatant that a Kenya government spokesman denounced Obama during his visit as Raila's "stooge."
Really? Let’s start with this uncomfortable fact. The leader of the Kenyan Orange Democratic Movement opposition leader, Raila Odinga, is Barack Obama’s cousin. Barack may not put much stock in the relationship, but tribal allegiances are still strong in Kenya and Barack is clearly viewed as a Luo by his fellow tribesmen.

Barack Obama has had a major impact on the recent disputed Kenyan election. He spoke in support of Orange Democratic Movement opposition leader Raila Odinga when in Kenya in 2006. The two men met last fall when Odinga visited America as each was preparing an “insurgency” campaign in their respective countries. In a recent BBC interview, Raila Odinga, averred that he and Obama were “old friends who spoke often on the telephone”. Odinga also said that he and Obama were cousins, a claim that the Obama campaign was unwilling to acknowledge, (given Odinga’s current difficulties) but did not deny.
Great. Obama’s cousin wants to be president. Is there a familial gene? If you are like most Americans you are blissfully unaware that two of Kenya’s tribes, the Luo and Kikuyu, are killing each other over a disputed election that Odinga, Obama’s cousin, claims was stolen from him. This dispute has been accompanied by violence.
A mob torched a church where hundreds had sought refuge Tuesday, and witnesses said dozens of people ?" including children ?" were burned alive or hacked to death with machetes in ethnic violence that followed Kenya’s disputed election.
The killing of up to 50 ethnic Kikuyus in the Rift Valley city of Eldoret brought the death toll from four days of rioting to more than 275, raising fears of further unrest in what has been one of Africa’s most stable democracies.
President Mwai Kibaki, who was swiftly inaugurated for a second term Sunday after a vote that critics said was rigged, called for a meeting with his political opponents ?" a significant softening of tone for a man who rarely speaks to the press and who vowed to crack down on rioters.
But opposition candidate Raila Odinga refused, saying he would meet Kibaki only “if he announces that he was not elected.” Odinga accused the government of stoking the chaos, telling The Associated Press in an interview that Kibaki’s administration “is guilty, directly, of genocide.”
Obama is not responsible for the killings in Kenya. But he has shown shocking naivete in supporting his cousin, who in turn has been quite eager to exploit the familial/tribal tie with Obama. Worse, members of Obama’s foreign policy team have helped fan the flames of this mess. How? Are you sitting down? They got Dick Morris involved in the election.
Former Clinton aides currently working for Obama were the “mutual acquaintances” who directed Dick Morris to Kenya to advise the Odinga campaign in November of 2007, shortly after Odinga visited with Obama in America . Morris was an extremely divisive factor in the Kenyan elections, as a foreigner, a white man, and the creator of an antagonistic “have vs. have nots” campaign platform for Odinga’s ODM. He also suggested the current campaign of civil disobedience to protest the election result, including a “Million Person March”, a la Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.
When things got out of hand following the election, Obama called Odinga repeatedly, but Mwai Kibaki, the leader of the Government would not return his calls as he perceives Obama to be biased toward his Luo relative Odinga in the conflict. Obama is featured prominently in ODM campaign posters, slogans, and songs in Kenya, and the plaintive phrase “A Luo will become President in America before a Luo will become President in Kenya” is often heard.
Obama also is providing the Republicans with the equivalent of an ammunition dump for destroying his candidacy should he become the nominee. The following articles are a preview of the storm that will be unleashed on Obama.

But even in this atmosphere Obama stands out - for not only does he theoretically support appeasement, he is actively advancing the interests of Islamists seeking to take control over a state allied with the US.
Kenya currently teeters at the edge of political chaos and civil war in the wake of the disputed Dec. 27 presidential elections. Those elections pitted incumbent President Mwai Kibaki against Raila Odinga who leads the Orange Democratic Movement. While the polls showed the public favoring Odinga, Kibaki was declared the winner. Odinga rejected the results and his supporters have gone on rampages throughout the country that have killed some 700 people so far. Kibaki is close ally of the US in the war against Islamic terror. In stark contrast, Odinga is an ally of Islamic extremists. Howard, You are about a nasty little placating dolt. Do you really think all Democrats are idiots? You have called for the super delegates to make a decision before the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Democrats of America, let me tell what will happen. As everyone is aware there is a problem in Michigan and Florida. Right? They both had their primaries before the Democratic Party said they could. By allowing the little lackey party to cow tow to Barrack Obama and force the super delegates to make a decision before the convention, please realize that everyone of you Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Patrick Leahy, Wes Clark, and every super delegate that makes a decision to nominate Barack Obama, have told over 3 million registered Democrats that they're vote don’t count.

Nor does he tell you that since he was appointed chairman of the Subcommittee on Foreign Affairs, he has not convened one (1) hearing.
He has said that we need change. Feb 19 Speech in Texas: â??They say, Obama might make a good speech, but what is really going to make a difference is how you work our government. But I have to say that it is my central premise that the only way we will bring about real change in America is if we bring new people into the process.''

What does it mean to you? Much the same? No, just more of the same; BIG MONEY, BIG BUSINESS AND BIGGER POLITICS.
