I WOULD SUGGEST THAT ANYONE FROM MICHIGAN OR FLORIDA WHO CAN POSSIBLY MAKE IT DOES SO. WE NEED TO GET OUR VOTES COUNTED AND OUR DELEGATES SEATED AS THEY WERE CAST.
DO NOT LET THE CANDIDATE WHO CLAIMS TO WANT TO UNITE EVERYONE AND INCLUDE ALL IN HIS DREAM LEAVE YOU OUT. OBAMA DOES NOT WANT THE VOTES TO COUNT BECAUSE HE IS AFRAID TO LET THEM BE COUNTED. If I remember correctly, Bill did something similar when he was running first time around. I believe it was an Eastern/Eastern seaboard state. Look it up. It worked for him, why not use the same tactic for his wife?
Everyone, but the Clinton's, have only asked that it be fair. If it had been her name off the ballot, you would be screaming just as loudly, standing just as firmly, and crying foul just as often.
Both Florida and Michigan will be seated. Everyone has said so. But in fairness. Hillary even refused the option the state of Michigan, itself, set forth: 59 Hillary, 49 Obama. It is she that insists all or nothing. It is she who demands to let it stand as is, all the while knowing what she agreed to during the Iowa caucuses, even though it would be biased and tilted unfairly in her direction. Even then, as now, she will not budge from that stance. So she spends her time trying to convince everyone the opposite is true, that Obama is against the voters of that state. So untrue. So unfair.
So seemingly orchestrated.
Clinton made the decision to stay on the ballot and in doing so chose NOT to turn her back on the voters of Michigan.
Those who signed affidavits to remove their name decided not to be a part of our primary but now Obama wants our support and votes for the general I DO NOT THINK SO. If he does not agree to count our votes fully and completely as they were cast I WILL NOT vote for him in November. This has nothing to do with Clinton. This has to be with being robbed of my vote by Obama and the DNC. 18 months ago the DNC made provisions where both states could submit plans for approval to count the votes. Now Dean hides behind the candidates by making them responsible for agreeing to the terms of how to manipulate and barter our vote. NO, SORRY! If my vote is not counted as I cast it they lose it.
Clinton stated a fact long ago that the votes in Michigan and Florida would not be counted according to the DNC. But she has ALWAYS said that she felt they should be counted.
Obama has already usurped all of the uncommitted votes in Michigan. He successfully ran people for all of those delegate spots. He is assured of 45% of the delegates at the convention. This is more than he should get because he did not even care enough about the votes in Michigan to run in our state.
Sorry, I take very strong offense to anyone that ever takes away even one vote - let alone 2.3 million.
The rule is unjust and should be changed - yes, midstream by resolution - perfectly acceptable according to Roberts Rules of Order. The DNC needs to acknowledge that they have punished people who did not violate any rule by the most severe punishment they could ever impose - throwing out votes and change that rule to impose punishments or sanctions on those officials from Florida and Michigan who actually voted to move the dates - in spite of DNC warnings.
They could fine those committees involved, they could suspend people from the national committee from Michigan and Florida and they could withold support and contributions to the elected officials who did this to our states.
What they should not do, ever, is punish anyone by suppressing votes. I hold them personally responsible for my vote being deemd useless. And that included Barack Obama
Obama didn't have to take his name off the ballot. He did it because he thought he wouldn't need Michigan or Florida to win. It's very telling how now he feels that West Virginia and Kentucky won't matter either, like PA and OH. Apparently Obama feels that half of the country DOESN'T MATTER AND IS NOT IMPORTANT! How can I possibly vote for a man who feels it's okay to only care about half the democrats in half the country? Or who is more concerned with playing to Republicans than he is to his own party?
No, there is NO WAY IN HELL Obama gets my vote unless he wins it fair and square. No brokered or bartered wins where the voters of Michigan and Florida's voices are not heard. EVERYONE'S vote must count as cast or our party is as full of shit as the Republicans and we deserve to lose!
People are beginning to realize that this unjust ruling not only punishes votes in Michigan and Florida but also makes worthless the votes of every single voter in every single state who supported Clinton.
If she does not win because of what they have done every voter loses, not just our two states - and we once again have a president who is not truly the legitimate choice of our entire party.
How divisive is this? Tell me that I am included in Obama's dream. I do not think so.
