I am interested as a Democrat to see where your Political vote is now that Obama will be our Democatic Nominee.

Now I know their are 100's of members on here just reading the blogs who are Democrats.

What really interests me is how you will vote if Obama is our nominee in Denver which it appears he will be .

Simple quesion Do you support McCain or Obama ?

If you support McCain are you going to switch parties and become a Republican?
So these are my questions to all Democrats on the DNC site today?

And you call yourself liberal.
More to the point, she hasn't answered the question
By Hollywood May 9th 2008 at 12:30 pm EDT
Only one person has - who says she would vote for McCain. (And me, who would vote for Obama).

Everybody else says they want Hillary, or makes some confused noises about how they're "really independents" or "voting with their conscience" - not actually answering the question that was asked.

Why are you people afraid to answer this very simple question?

It's a false choice.
By Practical Democrat May 9th 2008 at 11:57 am EDT
It's a false choice. There are MANY other ways to vote, or not vote.

Including voting for Clinton anyway, either write in or on the independent line.

NO, there is only one option to ensure that the Democratic party gains back the White House....vote for the Democratic nominee.

Why do you not understand; that you must have the RIGHT PERSON as the DEMOCRATIC nominee. Again, you are saying you would vote no matter who the person is...how irresponsible.
what good
By Cheryl/Michigan May 9th 2008 at 12:35 pm EDT
what good does it do to gain back the white house if the president is completely inexperienced and only makes matters worse.

If I choose to not vote for Obama or vote for McCain it will not be because I am angry that my candidate did not win.

I do not, with all my heat and soul, beleive that Obama is ready to be the president. There are still too many unanswered, serious questions about his character and judgement and his and Michelle's relationships with several people who have shown themselves to be anti-American, hate filled, etc, etc.

He has said himself he does not have experience but that's ok, judgement is more important. I do not agree with that. This world is a mess and we need someone with experience. Personally, I value Clinton's time as first lady very highly because she had an immediate, up close and personal experience and look at everything, immediately, as it occurred and how it was resolved. There is no one in the world with that exposure to the inner workings of our government in relation to world leaders and countries - not even a vice-president. She was highly involved as a first lady. I believe that we are hurting this country if we do not elect her.

That being said I just do not believe that Obama is ready to be the president of this country. He does not make his mind up on key issues as was seen by the excessive number of present votes in Illinois. He speaks without thinking then comes back multiple times with, "well, what I meant to say was". This world is not going to give him that opportunity to keep adjusting and re-explaining his position.

Finally, he is an eloquent speaker before huge crowds with prepared speeches but stumbles when speaking in a small group or one-on-one. I don't believe world problems will be discussed in a stadium. If he has a problem projecting his thoughts and idea with a debate panel how in God's name will he hold up when speaking with world leaders?

I am sorry, I have to give it alot of thought. I have voted democratic for 35 years but this time, with this economy, with the state that world is in, the war in Iraq, Nuclear threats, back-breaking gas prices - I have to vote for the person who I believe will best handle it and it might not be Obama. In fact, it probably will not be Obama.

He has to be able to turn his dream into reality and right now the only dream I see him addressing his his winning the white house at all costs - even if it means suppressing the votes of 2.3 million voters. (so much for unity).

NO, I WILL NOT SWITCH PARTIES. I AM A GREAT DEMOCRAT BUT THE DNC AND DEMOCRATIC OFFICIALS IN MY STATE HAVE LET US DOWN. THEY HAVE ACTED IN A VERY UNDEMOCRATIC WAY. If I choose to vote for McCain it will be because I have decided he will be better prepared to deal with the job. It is a difficult decision to make but it is one that I will if I feel it is better for our country.

Agree with Democrat in Saratoga Springs.

And to address those who have a problem with Obama's experience or lack thereof. Currently we have in the White House the most inept individual that one could ever imagine. His administration will go down in the history books, not for his own particular failure to make changes but, for the success of his disasterous changes.

I won't vote for Clinton because I believe she is intimidated by and wedded to corporate and military control.

I haven't decided about Obama, but if I do decide, the vote will not be for the man alone but for the administration he intends to install. The only indication I'll probably have of that prior to the GE will be his choice of VP. If that nominee is a strong liberal I'll be pleased. If it is some compromise, right-of-center slug, I will not.

Your family is voting with their conscience and I applaude that! If more people would do that we would not be in such a horrible position! Hillary still can win.

Well

Well, I haven't seen him officially become the nominee so I do not know where you got his information. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, from the BIAS news media. OK. Not. Hillary is the only one who can beat McCain.

I support Senator Hillary Clinton. My belief that she is the best candidate to nominate has not wavered.

Obama, of course
By Hollywood May 9th 2008 at 12:26 pm EDT
What, are you making a list for expulsion from the Democratic Party "Party Builder"? It does make sense. If you're going to "break the party" you shouldn't be on this blog, I think. There are other forums for anybody who doesn't want to vote for our nominee. So why are you guys still on here? I don't think that's an unreasonable question.

it has never been a question for me

i signed the pledge back in 2007, and i intend to honor it no matter what.

i will vote dem no matter who the nominee is - thank god it appears to be Obama, who i have much more trust in than Clinton.

My Turn
By Progressive Democrat May 9th 2008 at 12:37 pm EDT
on my own quesion its very simple as a lifelong Democrat i cannot and will not vote Republican and for 4 more years of continued Bush polcy with McCain at the head of the Whitehouse.
I will not become a turncoat.
If one is going to vote for McCain over the Nominee which will be Obama then to be fair you should just hang up your Democatic values and join the GOP
I love that fact that people are seeing how they are not really Democrats at all if Obama is going against McCain but closet Republicans even if they will not admit to it on the Blog .
The writing is clear.

America needs a clear change and break from the smoked filled room politics of the past.

Obama represents this and more I honor your decision to vote for McCain its your freedom to do so ,but please register as a new Republican before doing so thanks.
I am not a turncoat
By Cheryl/Michigan May 9th 2008 at 1:12 pm EDT
I am a voter in Michigan who had their vote thrown out by the DNC and called worthless by Obama. Even then the DNC gave authority to either count or redo the elections in Michigan and Florida - but both candidates had to agree. Obama would not even consider agreeing until it was too late.

He put his self interest before the needs of voters and their right to participate in this election. I AM NOT A TURNCOAT. Obama has acted in a completely selfish and undemocratic manner. I will not support him. He has suppressed 2.3 million votes.

It is he who is a turncoat.

I'm sick of your lies. I have no problem with people supporting Hillary Clinton, but I have a serious problem with serial liars like you.

It is the PARTY BUILDER SITE

Not the Party Breaker site.

Got it?

If Hillary is our nominee, I would be rooting for her. I have said it a million times and from Day One.

Keep asking and guessing
By Democrat in Fort Worth, TX May 9th 2008 at 1:36 pm EDT
Why the question? In the end everyone will vote or not vote. If Obama is the nominee, the decision on whom to vote or not vote for will be up to the Clinton supporters. As for me, I am a moderate democrat (30 yrs) and Clinton supporter. Can you guess who I might vote or not vote for?
