According to her official State of Alaska biography,
"Governor Palin is chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission"; while "She is married to Todd Palin, who is a lifelong Alaskan, a [oil] production operator on the North Slope." Other sources say specifically that Todd Palin is employed by BP.
