TRUTH TO POWER

Everyday we hear how Americans are voting, blacks are voting over ninety percent for Obama, Young college people are voting overwhelmingly for Obama. The majority of the party are blue collar workers, women, Asians, Hispanics are voting for Hillary. Infact, the major portion of the electorate is women! So if you feel that you need to trash women, remember the saying we forgive but we do not forget! Women will take up and there will be a movement you will not forget. We fought to get the vote, we fought to get equal rights and we surely have not attained that yet, but we will and I am ready. I marched for civil rights, for women's rights, for rights of women not to be abused, fought for children - some of those rights that young college women have now and will have an easier time in life and in the workplace. Don't tell me or other women this time is over because it is just bs, I will not lay down now and I will walk right over you.

Truth to Power, Some are vcting strictly on Race because the overwhelming statistic of over ninety percent of Blacks are voting for Obama. Disapportionate delegates have been given to this group. Donna Brazil said it was "reward" delegates.

Now let us be rational and logical, can Obama win? I do not think so. I am offended by Tupack Hunter, Michigan Obama Chairman and Senator, not allowing a bill for revote in the Michigan Legislature, I will not vote for Obama because it is corrupt. So Obama has lost my vote because it is more of the same corrupt politics, just Chicago style. It is a civil rights issue, one vote for one human being that is a Citizen of the United States. Now you say piss on everyone elses vote and States that have not voted are less than important. It is a narcistic way of thinking and these superdelegates and talking heads on both campaigns need to chill. I did not actively work, to have have some punk take the rights way from another, I do not care what race, gender or sexual preference. It is all just bull shit. Your vote should be as important as the next mans, and if it isnt your vote isnt much either.

Because of the ridiculous way this election process has been structured, with special delegates here and there, add one more here, one more there, super delegates that super politically spin their candidate, we are in a strategic mess.

We all have to be honest here, the whole thing is a mess and now we have to bow down to the DNC and unite. I think we need another party without all bull shit. I think we need one vote, counted as one vote and winner get all from each state. This nonsence is tearing this country apart. I am so mad now that I want to join the Republicans because my vote will be valued as one vote. I have never voted Republican, but I will if Obama is the nominee.

reconsider
By pcmoore28 May 9th 2008 at 3:03 pm EDT
Sandi, I ask that you reconsider your decision to vote for McCain. If you feel that strongly, please stay home and don't vote. Our country cannot afford another 4 years with a Republican president.

It is just as important to ensure that we get a Democratic 2/3 majority in both houses.....We don't have that now....

PARTY BUILDER
By WRM May 9th 2008 at 3:05 pm EDT
The blog is "Party Builder" If you can't vote for the Democratic candidate - no matter what - post those blogs somewhere else. I don't need to know your "reasons" I can't change your mind. I'd welcome you as a voter if you could find a way to support the Democratic Party. Why are you here if you can't support the chosen candidate? Fair-weather Democrat? Don't complain when McCain's new Justices overturn Roe v Wade.

Everybody's got an excuse! Spend some time where I am and you'd be happy to vote..period.

If McCain's your boy, tell the Republicans why he's so great; I'm sure you'll find lots of agreement there.

You are just simply not right...
By Concerned Democrat May 9th 2008 at 3:07 pm EDT
Just wanted to let you know that I am woman and HRC is the last candidate that I want to see on our November ballot. And before anyone says anything, I will only be voting Democrat, regardless of who the candidate is. But if it is Hillary Clinton, my stomach will turn while doing it. Get over your woman's movement! I am a woman and I do not want a snake in the grass as our next president, and that snake in the grass is HRC!

We have several women on this site that feel a woman is not worthy of doing a mans' job....

What is that supposed to mean? That is the farthest thing from being what I meant. A truthed, respected woman deserves a shot at the White House. Unfortunately, I feel like HRC is the furthest thing from any of those qualities.

I meant trusted, respected woman. Sorry! It doesn't matter though, because HRC still isn't it!

You have bashed Obama since day-one. Why would anyone think that you would ever vote for him?

See where McCain gets you with your "issues"

Issues: Civil Liberties; Civil Rights; Economic Growth; Education; Election Reform; Energy Policy; Environment; Good Government; Healthcare; Military Issues; National Security; Retirement Security

Don't hold your breath!

How uninformed you are. McCain has been working the environment issue for a very long time. It was Obama that rewrote a bill for nuclear power plants that leak waste to NOT notify the public. Get out of the fog of untruths. That is how we got BUSH. DO THEY WALK THE TALK! I never voted Republican before, punk, it is that you do not research the facts. Your vote is a responsibility, and you have to be knowledgeable to who has done what. Not what they promise!

I think I'm too old to be a punk? :) Like I said: If you can't be a party builder GO AWAY!

You have NO CLUE.

Women and Students
By Matty May 9th 2008 at 3:16 pm EDT
I, for one, say....... your right on gal.

It feel sad that so many of our young women do not know how hard we, as women, have worked to arrive at this place in time where we can almost make it.

But, isn't that the way it has always been?
Almost make it.

In our colleges, women out number men 60-40.
But, when they graduated job opportunities will be more in the 30% range compared to men.
They haven,t had this experience yet to know that the struggles for women continue.

Obama learned early to set up shop on campuses and harvest the young.
He has brought them to the party but they do not need to dance the whole night away with Obama.
He will lose many of these young voters as they become more familiar with who he is and what he is not.

It is a long time to November...... the last GE, student vote was only 20%. They can become disenchanted and may choose to stay at the other party..... on campus.... kicking it.

Please tell me who Obama is, since you seem to think you know! I am very interested to know, since you seem to think that the more we learn, the more disenchanted I will become! I've done nothing but watch this man for the last few months and everytime I see him speak I become more and more inspired by him. What is wrong w/ a man that brings people together? HRC is the one driving this party apart. The #'s will never add up, no matter how bad HRC wants them to. Someone who cares about this party would walk away and let us unite, but she just keeps right on dividing and is probably sleeping just fine at night while doing it!

There are many here who are not who they say they are.

Operation Chaos has invaded the party builder and has it's purpose of keeping us from totally destroying the Republicans throughout the country.

Sandi - I am worried about you -
By Karstar May 9th 2008 at 3:23 pm EDT
I saw you write FU in one of your replies.
You also stated you wouldn't vote for Obama if he was the last man on earth.

I know you have earned your right to be angry - because of the Michigan thing with Tupac.

I only ask this.
When it gets to the point that you are cursing out people - it's a lot harder to see your message.

Understand there is a lot of people who totally agree with you. But no one agrees with name calling. I'd expect you to tell me the same thing.
