They are packing it in. They can't get 10,000 peple in Dayton to attned McCain's unveing of his running mate......and it get worse.  Pa is the nesxt stop and they can't get 3 thousand to go to that.

According to the Dayton Daily News, Sen. John McCain is still giving away tickets to his Friday rally where he will unveil his running mate. He's having trouble filling a 10,000 seat arena.

The contrast with Sen. Barack Obama giving a speech before 75,000 people tonight is striking and speaks to the excitement factor between the candidates. Obama tickets have been sold out for weeks.

So McBush can't even get 10,000 people to see him with his running mate? After Barack Obama's historic acceptance speech in front of 75,000+ excited agents of change?

Republicans tend to be older and far more conservative...they don't tend to attend the big rallies and campaign stops. Rest assured though; based on previous elections; they can turn out in droves for an election.

I like to remind them that under Obama's tax plan, unless they take in more than $50K a year individually, they will pay NO TAXES LOL

They like that

They also like that their children will not have to pay so much to educated their grandchildren.

Actually, there is much to talk to older folks about----and I have found unless they are bitter crotchety old dudes, they want to listen and like my excitement
just my two cents

Boring. Repugs are not even going to go

If people want to be put to sleep, they can stay at home and take a nap!

They are going to stay home

I tryed to put myself tonight in the place of a republican, watching the 80,000 people and the excitement----and the first thoughts that came to my head as a republican was
oh shit, we are phucked, and I don't want to go vote.

They have no body to vote FOR-----and for the first time, imo, they have no body to vote against unless they are racist----and that is a small percent.

They will stay home.

"and for the first time, imo, they have no body to vote against unless they are racist".....

That is an unfortunate comment.....just because someone does not support Senator Obama does not mean that they are a racist.

These type of statements are hard to defend when the party is attempting to raise money and win over voters.

YEA you are right---there will also be the group that will vote AGAINST him because he is a democrat, just like I am PARTISAN and today, I would vote against almost anyone if they are republican.
caviat---I have voted for republicans in the past when I thought they were the better person for the job------

But, today, I don't think even most of the PARTISAN republicans are motivated enough to come out to vote AGAINST Democrats.

I think they are whipped.
I think as a whole they realize what a terrible thing their leaders have done the last 8 years-----I think they are embarrassed and I think they are sorry.

and I could very well be wrong about ALL my opinions on this, because I have no idea what it is like to be in a republicans skin, or mind.

That's hilarious. I heard on CNN last night that they were canceling altogether for one week because of the storm coming in and that GWB was even canceling, he's getting his teams together for disaster relief. This hurricane is supposed to be the largest ever hurricane to hit America (Louisiana), way larger than Katrina. There's a state of emergency out already.

Lucky McCain! The storm gives him more time to remember to memorize his speech. Oh and pick Cindy up from the airport with her Gold Bars from
Georgia.
