I didn't apologize for my foul mouth there. I will here... If I offended anyone I'm sorry.
I was raised by my mother to always defend a lady and I will always defend any lady who I feel is being attacked including Michele Obama and yes... Even Hillary. I don't like the nasty things being said about either of them, it makes me sick. I wish everyone would just stop it!
That was a gentlemanly thing to do, Will, and I accept your apology and tender mine if you think I was attacking Michelle. I think I said she was only being quoted, but I do know someone answered that slurs were being cast against her in Wva. I regret that; I regret any kind of hate or "old America" thinking. When Barack halfway defended his pastor by saying we'd have to be a part of the culture to understand it, I kind of understood. I read parts of Michelle's thesis at Princeton, and I understand her feelings of being an outsider. But to respond with any kind of sharpness against those who bear her no ill will is not going to help her at all. I keep saying, don't accuse my ancestors of enslaving yours, because they didn't. I would hope that my position would be understood too.
Thanks for the response.
Hey, Jan! You noticed! No, that's an Arabian stallion who was my best friend and sidesaddle mount until his death 2 years ago at the age of 31. I am now preparing to ride his daughter, a 6-year-old Anglo-Arab (Arab/thoroughbred cross), 16 hands high, and my heart's in my throat.
ROFL I almost said Arab but it's really hard to tell in that picture. I grew up with Arabs, my parents still have them and show them back in MI. I always wanted a pinto or a Morgan when I was kid, but ended up with a half arab from the biggest, ugliest, brood mare you have ever seen in your life; you'd never of guess she was anything but purebred she was so beautiful.
Yeah, the Arab blood is so prepotent it improves anything it mixes with. My mare is like that; beautiful Arab head, arab shape to her body, fine bone and tail carriage, but as big as her tb mom and just as fast! Scary. Annie, you know you can turn a horse out on grass for most of the year and they're just fine - maybe need a supplement once in a while, but they don't need fancy feed or grain like I used to feed when I showed. And your local animal welfare league usually is looking for homes for horses they've had to take... I firmly believe there is no better way to raise a child, especially a girl, than with a horse for her best friend!
Anne why not go through the Huston SPCA or one of the other adoption agencies? Oh, but then again you have to worry about grain and hay and those are far from cheap.

Is that a Morgan?
