Via Open Left. Contrast the two videos below. One is from NBC and another is from Collateral News, an alternative media group.

Check out NBC's coverage here.

Or an alternate media source here

While there are obvious slants in both reports, the biggest difference between the two are the facts being presented. The alternative media outlet presents more detailed facts of the case and the events that lead up to the incident. It allows the viewer to make up their own mind about the horrific racial tensions that have been common in this community (and sadly it exists in others as well).

The alternate media did a much more thorough job of explaining the events in Jena, LA.
A question poised at the end of the alternate report has set me to thinking: "Why haven't the Jena 6 caught the country's attention?"
The only response I can think of, is: Because the mainstream media are racially biased.
There was once a time in this country when journalists sought the truth. Sadly, all they look for now is spin.
Thanks for the links, Aaron.

I enjoyed the call to action, while it is biased to call viewers into action, it is the benefit of alternative media.
