The Palin announcement reminds me of George H.W. Bush's choice for VP in 1988. It's a desperate attempt to try to make the GOP look like something it's not.

Palin is the only one with administrative experience. Think about it.

As if they haven't been trying to do that already. Last night I was watching Pawlenty give a press conference and he had a black guy and a Hispanic lady on hand to make statements supporting McCain's experience and judgment.

They are desperately trying to change their outlook.
