Post from Cork in the Water:
Sarah Palin is no Hillary Clinton!

It infuriates me that the GOP is trying to compare Sarah Palin to Hillary Clinton, and even suggesting that Palin's presence on the GOP ticket could appeal to disaffected Hillary Clinton supporters.

 That's abusrd.

I suggest that Joe Biden take a page from Lloyd Bentsen's playbook when he has his first televised Vice Presidential debate with Governor Palin:

"Governor Palin, I know Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is a friend of mine. And Governor, you're no Hillary Clinton."

Terry, Hillary did not have qualities required to do the job.

Time will tell if Sarah does...

She is an interesting choice and I am so glad no one can say that I am voting against history now as any vote is historical.

MOB,

I don't agree with that. It was Clinton fatigue.

Hillary Clinton is far different.

Hillary is extremely well educated as a lawyer. There is a reason so many of our politicians are lawyers, as the primary function government is law. This lady was a sports reporter on the news.

desperation

Pure desperation cloaked in the need to galvanize the Hillary voter to make the switch. Big gamble.

YOu say Hillary was best choice as McCain's VP? Do you think she would have switched parties....?

Dems have a great team in Obama-Biden ....

Considering

Considering what the republicans think of Hillary it would be hard to believe they would want to compare Palin to her. If anything you would think they would want to say the two are nothing alike.

For the first time ever the republicans have picked someone other than a white male with a mainstream faith that didn't have northern European ancestry to be on the ticket. As far as I know ALL others have always been each of those. It's nice to see the republicans have finally left the 18th century.

Sarah who...?
By Lindsay Aug 29th 2008 at 2:26 pm EDT (Updated Aug 29th 2008 at 2:26 pm EDT)
Just kidding. I ave heard of her only because I follow politics. However, to me this is a SHOCK! I think McCain must have rocks in his head! As a former Hillary supporter, there is NO way I would vote for this pair!

I am sure McCain doesn't really want to be President!

At least we won't have to listen to him go on and on and on about our candidate's "supposed" lack of experience!

I can't wait for Biden DESTROY her in a debate!

I'll say this one more time
By rhiannon aka le chat Aug 29th 2008 at 2:36 pm EDT (Updated Aug 29th 2008 at 2:36 pm EDT)
I already posted this on a more recent blog. Palin is another example of my worst nightmare. The list of problems is quite lengthy: she is anti-science, she is anti-abortion (apparently even in the case of rape), she supports aerial hunting of wolves, . . . and the list continues. I just hope Obama is correct and Americans are smarter than this (and smarter than McCain thinks we are). Whatever you think about Hillary Clinton, good or ill, Palin is no Hillary. I'll quit. I'm out of here.

evangelist neocon vs. east coast lawyer
By Flashfyre Aug 29th 2008 at 2:38 pm EDT (Updated Aug 29th 2008 at 2:38 pm EDT)
The two women couldn't be any more different.

Hillary is an east coast lawyer. Pro-choice, pro separation of church and state are the two big differences.

Palin is a hard right neocon evangelist. Strongly anti-choice, strongly favors teaching creationism in science classrooms.

Stark differences between the two. Strongly different from Ferraro.

A female Dan Quayle with a higher IQ.

You go!
This woman can only aspire to be Hillary Clinton in my book.
