Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday a lack of democracy, a "freedom deficit" is the core problem in the Middle East. (Link

I’m almost speechless, but I’m going to try to tackle this anyways.

Americans aren’t fat, they suffer from “calorie indulgence”

In war we don’t kill children we “preemptively dispatch future enemies.”

The Bush administration isn’t stupid, it suffers from a horrible medical condition called “competence deficiency” which is sort of like Iron deficiency. Maybe they make a supplement for this.

I’ll be right back I have go “evacuate my excretory system”

I think this administration suffers from a “reality deficit.” Seriously, Secretary Rice is one of the few people in this administration who isn’t a complete retard, but why can’t she just admit what the real problem is? The problem is not a “freedom deficit” Why can’t they just say: “There are three different factions fighting for power while an occupying force tries to control a country of 50 million people while fighting at least two of the three factions as well as Al Queda fighters.”

That is very different from a “freedom deficit” isn’t it? If I had to say it in a few words I think “shit-storm of violence and religious friction” would be a bit more accurate. Of if I wanted to use a euphemism I could call it a “product of excretory evacuation of people not seeing eye to eye on Islamic principles” Yeah, that sounds nice. I think I’ll send in my resume so they can make me White House Press Secretary.

I totally agree, these play on words is getting ridiculous. Everything is so politically correct these days except the politics. Screw up again, change the wording, come up with a new catch phrase. All this while these bastard are fleecing America. Luckily, the English speaking residents with a 6th grade education are starting to catch on to this tactic. Impeach this waterhead already! Anyone else read about our raid in IRAN today???? Bush apparently approved it, sure lets piss off Iran, then we can send 1000 more troops over to take care of them. IDIOTS

Sec. Rice: "It's not an 'escalation',it's an 'augmentation'."

...i'm having flashbacks to "can you define 'sexual relations'?"

Lately comments like this make me feel a bit bi-polar. Part of me is laughing at the sheer absurdity, part of me is crying because my soul hurts. It would be a lot funnier if comments like this were coming from people who aren't in charge of our military. I can't decide if Bush and is more like Captain Ahab or General Custer. At least both of them joined the battle themselves! Maybe if Bush put himself on the front lines he'd save what little dignity he has left.

Freedom Deficit?

Madaam Secretary,

If democracy is the panacea, explain why a free Iraq is a mess? I thought they just held free elections and have a "democracy"? It sure hasn't fixed them, and in time they'll probably vote in a government that is completely anti-US and one of our biggest enemies. All done under the name of "democracy". Aaaah, how soon people forget that true alliances are not forged through governmental form, but through spiritual unity. We'll never be at peace with muslim nations...regardless of their governmental "style". Please wakey up.

Sooo...from your perspective we should have sent missionaries and not soldiers. And that we do not need to liberate and democratize, but convert and evangelize. Spiritual unity, what does that mean, either be a Christian or be at war with America. Sorry, but your perspective doesn't even begin to solve the problem, in fact, it is the problem.

I cannot express how strongly I am offended by those who continue to insist that America is a Christian nation, and that Christianity is the direct path to being a nation of spiritual superiortiy. This is so far afield from what our founding fathers envisioned. The religious right does not support freedom of religion, they are advocating the tyranny of religion, and as a patriot and a person of strong spirit I will resist tyranny of all stripes.

“shit-storm of violence and religious frictionâ€
God, that's priceless!

Reminds me of that bit Steve Martin did about teaching your children to say nonsense just to mess with them. Like when they have to use the bathroom teach them to say, "May I mumbo dogface in your cabbage patch?".

Excellent blog!
