I live in the state of Iowa, a state that went to Gore in 2000 and Bush 2004, both times by a couple points or less.
This year, as in every presidential election year, we kicked off the Democratic Primary by Caucusing for Obama in record numbers.
As Hillary came in third behind Edwards, it was apparent to all that she had been defeated and could not stop this momentous support from the Obama faithful and it was just a matter of time before she would get out of the race.

Over three months later Hillary is still hanging on to a fruitless endeavor to gain the presidential nomination. It has been good for the party that she stayed in, but Pennsylvania is obviously not going to be the huge victory she needed, and no one knows this better than Hillary.

After she fails to close the gap in Pennsylvania, she will leave the race, and I hope all you die hard Clintonites will blog just as viciously for Obama as you did for Hillary.

Thanks

Adam

I certainly appreciate your enthusiasm..

I am a supporter of Senator Clinton. No candidate gets my vote simply because he/she has a D- beside the name. If Senator Obama does not do something to convince me that he represents ME, then I will write in for the candidate that I feel would be the best President. Today that is not him.

What is he not doing that you would like him to do?

Drop out and unite the party.

He cannot win the Primary.

You might not want to believe that, but the one who knows it is......Obama.

The only way he can is if she drops out.
Notice him calling for anyone else to drop out?
No, because it wasnt necessary.

It will be the best canidate for America and Americans.

Only Clinton 08 !

Re: I certainly appreciate your enthusiasm..
It looks like its over, I hope you will stay with the party! We have come to far to quit now
Re: I certainly appreciate your enthusiasm..
His supporters where a little too abrasive for me
Re: I certainly appreciate your enthusiasm..

ARUGULA
By hurricane Apr 13th 2008 at 9:56 am EDT
I finally found an Iowan's reason to support Obama!
The price of ARUGULA! A cropNOT grown in Iowa! You really need to vet your candidate better! Or; help him raise $10,000 a year; for his girls piano, and dance instruction!
Re: ARUGULA
By Adam Apr 13th 2008 at 9:59 am EDT
Iowans supported Obama because he represents change. Obama will win Iowa (he has a four point lead) in the GE and Clinton will not (she trails by 12 to McCain).
It's over, accept it!

Republicans are celebrating like it is Christmas; thanks to Obama's "BITTER" remarks! And the red states will remain red!
Re: ARUGULA

Nope, I dont care who wins, I wont vote Republican, but if you recall Clinton lost many of the red states to Obama in the primaries, but dont bother yourself with facts just blindly follow your leader, Hillary Clinton into defeat

Wow, thats real dumb. I mean REAL dumb.

Who cares about red States. They will go...RED.

Do you really not know which states are important to win ??

They are called "swing" states.

Thats why it doesnt matter that Clinton won TX or California either.

Calif will go blue no matter who it is, just like TX will go red no matter what.

The states in play are Arkansas, Tennessee, Ohio and Fla. ALL WON by Clinton.

(Rassmussen has MO, MI, Nev, and OH as swings)

Based on Rassmusen, Obama can deliver only MO.
Clinton can deliver MI, MO, and OH.

Adam, I know you are backing the wrong candidate, but I really didnt think you were as stupid as some of your fellow o-supporters.

Clinton 08 !

Wishful Thinking
By Sharkhunter Apr 13th 2008 at 10:01 am EDT
Sometimes its good. Other times its impractical. A lot of these bloggers are TROLLING to disrupt the movement for CHANGE and are Anonymous Repubs posing as Democrats and will continue with their Obama bashing with no real effect on the outcome. jmho.

Iowa sucks
By Mr Bill Apr 13th 2008 at 10:56 am EDT
Iowans are the biggest problem with our Democracy, they think they have the end all answers to whom should be President of the United States od America and every four years we have to suffer thought this endless butt kissing of a few that attempt to tell the majority how to vote. This system is broke folks states with a total population less than that of Houston Texas are telling the rest of America who should be President, that's crap
Re: Iowa sucks
By Bob the Builder May 9th 2008 at 3:30 pm EDT
Huh, if you think so, Iowa is the first in the nation, but they definitely arent the only, And I got a feeling if Clinton would have won the caucus, you would be saying something different
