I Just Saw the Polls
YIKES!
McCain is up 10 points according to 1 poll. Most other polls have it at a dead heat.
You have to hand it to Republicans. They know how to throw together a political convention and get people fired up about nothing. I think the bloodboiling will not last. First, as most of you are aware, the GOP convention was not the most factually accurate convention of all time. It also didn't reflect the reality of the outside world. For one week, the Republicans had Americans distracted from the issues. Democrats are going to refocus their attacks on McCain/Palin, talk about the economy, and rebuild that bridge to rural America.
Our guy was the underdog in the primary. He went out and registered millions of new voters into our party. Despite being African American, he went out in rural areas and turned out a huge, unconventional vote. Although I supported Hillary through most of this, I recognize that Barack Obama did a great service to this nation by trying to end the culture war in America.
Don't panic. Don't go ballistic. Be rational. Don't get bitter! Spread the word. We're going to win.

Sen. McCain (R-AZ) ought to change the name of his ticket to McCain Cheesecake becuase that is all Gov. Palin brings to the ticket.
