Hillary Clinton laid out her Plan for strengthening the middle class. I think it's a great plan for the USA. But I also think that it is a great example for the rest of the world.

I say this because I live and have grown up in Germany. There, we have the same problems. For the last 15 to 20 years poverty is rising for several reasons: Income of the working people is lowering and at the same time the costs of living are getting higher. For companies and rich people taxes are getting lower and lower. As an result the government has not enough money for the welfare system. At the same time companies turning their jobs to eastern Europe or China .

The most important point is that the middle class has the problem to pay their checks and invest in the future of their children. Now, we have a shrinking middle class. Poverty is more and more a crucial issue. I am, like many others are, afraid to get a “minimum wage job” (and we have no minimum wage!)

I want to be clear: I am for competition and I think we have to strengthen our economy. But in the end all of this should be for the people. When the majority have nothing of the economic growth, it is only for the few. This is possibly the end of democracy.

My hope is that Hillary Clinton will show as president that there is a plan to broaden the middle class and shrinking the division between the rich and the poor. The U.S. needs change in order to give the people hope for a better future and to bring them justice.

I predict that this will have an effect on the welfare politics in the world. Most european politicians say that there is no other option than reducing rights for workes, wages for workers and government investions in the welfare system. A new Democratic administration has the chance to be a role model for an alternative way for other center-left governments, especially in the western world.

Globalisation is a possible threat, but also a big chance for all of us. We need a leader who understands this challenge of the 21st Century in order to change it to the better. Hillary Clinton has the willingness, strenght and a great plan.
