Check out this youtube video about was Dennis is going to do in Congress on Friday. Basically he is going to try to get Bush impeached and while I think this is a sisyphean task I applaud him for doing something to show America's discontent with how the government is being run. Of course I wish that they were doing more in congress instead of just posturing like this, but I am still happy to see someone bring it up and who knows, maybe it will pass and we can actually be happy that at least one good piece of legislation got passed. See below for the video.

to do what is right. I am happy he is making this effort. It is not like When Babara Jordan did it. She had the support of her colleages.
Yes Dennis is courageous

Thanks a lot Pelosi

Thanks to Pelosi and her not on the table no matter what Bush has done or could still do Bush can easily end up doing even more damage to this country.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bush attacks Iran before leaving office especially if Obama becomes president. And knowing Bush he doesn't feel he needs the authority or already has the authority or these are special circumstances or the he is the commander-in-chief with a shorn duty to defend the United States. Don't think for a second he will keep within the law or any restrictions of his powers.

Another thing he could easily do is pardon everyone in his administration before leaving office thus shielding them from any responsibility for anything they have done including many things we don't know about yet.

By refusing to go after Bush and making him accountable and within the law Pelosi and Reid have effectively given Bush imperial powers and grossly undermined the Constitution.

I'm glad I read this.

I was going to post a similar one.

Thanks for sharing.

REMEMBER! Our House and our Senate need a lot more good Democrats the quality of Dennis Kucinich whose worst fault is that he always tells the truth.

SUPPORT ALL DEMOCRATS THIS FALL. THEY ARE FAR FROM PERFECT, THAT IS SURE, BUT THEY ARE SO MUCH BETTER THE CHOICE OVER A REPUBLICAN.

DOWN WITH BIPARTISANSHIP.

Pelosi is not for it so it is dead in place. Another giant feather in her cap as a true leader of our country, and Reid ain't much better!

No, haven't you heard, she explained her comment about tabling it...that she was against it before the election, but not after that...and she added that since we're not far off, she's open to it, SHE got it moved into the Judiciary committee...so it's under investigation...meaning the process is unfolding...it's working...and she's ok with it, but I think she wants him censured, more than impeached (it's costly - in more than one way).

Pelosi will waste time doing anything that isn't actually getting the things accomplished for this country that we need.......
She is an out and out loser big time......

Seventeen GOP Senators
By BobVADemHawk Jul 23rd 2008 at 5:26 pm EDT
In order to get a successful impeachment of the POTUS or VPOTUS, we would need seventeen GOP Senators to vote to convict. Can anyone name the most likely prospects, please, especially 3 months from Election Day?

Would a prosecutor try a criminal case unless they were absolutely convinced they could get a conviction? Of course not; this is because of the double jeopardy law. Speaker Pelosi and Sen. Reid (D-NV) are smart enough to see this.

And if you wanted to throw politics into the equation, which it really shouldn't be, then how much do you think an impeachment proceeding at this time will serve to galvanize a fractured GOP base? Again, from a political perspective, start the impeachment proceeding on 5NOV08, the day after the election.
