Susan Collins and the Bangor Daily News

I recently learned that Senator Susan Collins has an unusual relationship with Bangor Daily News -- one of the largest papers in the state. Apparently, the executive editor of the paper was once Susan Collins' press secretary. Plus, one of Collins' staffers is married to said executive editor. That is a bit cozy in the supposedly neutral world of newspaper journalism.  I want to thank Collins Watch for their excellent work!

I also want to point out this excellent article from my local paper on Collins.  It is a bit old, but well worth the read.  "The senator who cried wolf" This also concerns a cozy relationship with the Bangor Daily News.

Folks, we need to elect Tom Allen to the senate and say goodbye to Susan Collins!

I really think this is a winnable seat. Tom Allen is a terrific candidate and Susan Collins has been marching in lock-step with the administration. It won't be easy, but I think we'll do it.
