What was once the party that represented my family for the past three generations has continued to become a party out of control. The party has shifted as far to the left as the Republicans have moved to the right. I felt Hillary moved us back toward reason. I feel more comfortable with McCain (sad but true) than the Democratic Candidate. My hope, and I think the hope of many Americans, is that in the next four years a new party arises and we have a chance to have a working government again with candidates, at all levels, who put the people and our Country first, rather than themselves

* 100 years in Iraq "if that's what it takes"
* Make Bush's tax cuts permanent
* Voted against providing health insurance for millions of children
* Supports replacing Social Security with private savings accounts
* Did not vote for the new G.I. Bill and publically stated that increasing G.I. benefits would just cause more troops not to re-enlist.
* Admits he does not understand economic policies and says he will rely on Republican advisors to "fix" the economy.
Oh, I could go on and on....but you get the idea. You probably have other priorities that you care about, too...just check out McCain's stances on those issues and then see if they agree with your ideas. As a long-time Democrat, I believe you will find one column much longer than the other....please remember that in November.
Do we really want a total leftist in office?
Can we afford a prejudiced person in office.
Now, lets look at the policy proposals of Obama and see whether any of them are favorable to only AAs, shall we?

and as you go down each one of his Issues pages and read them carefully, point by point, you will not see a single one that reinforces your argument.
GWB has taken us to the edge in so many areas: war, economy, diplomacy, wire taps, torture, etc.
If one "loves" their Country, how can one support these things by electing yet another republican? When our young continue to go to war, when you can't afford to put gas in your car to go to work, when they start wire-tapping YOUR conversations, when RoevWade is over-turned, when Gitmo expands, who are you going to be concerned with? Americans!
Americans are paying a price for electing a republican who clearly smirks his way into oblivion.
I CAN'T and WON'T be a party to that.........EVER.
I am saying that there are very REAL differences between the Democratic Party and the republicans, and the choice is very clear this year.
It's a shame that some have taken this hatred and belittling to the extreme---on BOTH sides.
Adding to the name calling or appeasing some who feel they are being robbed is not part of my agenda. My agenda is seeing the Country I love become America again.
Call any names you want- belittle people who have the same core values as yourself, and put another republican in if you want---But the blame will be clearly in the hands of those who choose that route.
Then if you can extend your generosity even a little further, try to wrap your mind around this: There are THOUSANDS of Democrats like myself who would have preferred Edwards, Kucinich or Gravel to EITHER Clinton OR Obama.
I suggest to YOU that if you think that Obama is a left/liberal, that you may have no business in the Democratic party in the first place.
Harry Truman had a quote for it: He said that if you give the people a choice to vote for a Republican, or a Democrat who is acting like a watered down Republican, then they will choose the Republican every time.
I want the furtherest thing from such a creature and my two choices are only a half step a way from each other, but I'll take the one that is the half step to the left since that is the best that is being offered.
I don't want a DLC watered down Republican. I want real change.
Maybe this Party has been corrupt a long, it was my hope as woman and as a professional. Life shows you that you can be stabbed by your best friend or family member, we see it all the time. This is what it is.
She was out organized, out fund raised and out liked by men and women, black and White, Red and Yellow.
A Rainbow has only one side, jump on and we'll all get the pot of Gold! A fully Democratic Government. House, Senate and Presidency.
Hillarys positions and policies are complete opposite of most every Republican Position. Even when she re-adjusts to please a certain audience she does not come close to Republican positions. (except the stupid Gas Tax rebate thingy)
This is either Hillary and Bills plan to sway the DNC meeting with the coordinated chant of "We will defect."
Or its a Carl Rove Slimy Suprise.
Either way it does not belong in the democratic party.
So quit crying and wait for your party to make a decision.
I am not trying to sway anyone. Despite what you like everyone has a freedom of choice. If you don't like mine, I'm ok with that.
If you want Hillary it makes no sense to vote against the way Hillary would.
Two wrongs do not make a righ!
