Our Democrats need a dose of....

Don't understand how you vote for an unjust war, then vote for a deadline on the war as a means of demonstrating disappoval for same. And to make things worse, you load the bill with billions in pork.

This is the problem with Dems. Their moral compass sometimes points in all directions at the same time. What's not being said is that Dems mostly agree with Republicans on the moral case for this war. I am not an expert by any means, but the asymmetrical nature of today's conflict is clear. The Dems would face the same fundamental problem if they were in power: how to fight people who are "not like us".

"Don't worry", we are told, "we knew when we voted for the deadline that the President would veto the bill...so the pork loading dosen't really matter."

The lack of a clear moral stance from the Dems on this war is troubling. And it is time to imagine the very near future. How will they prosecute this war? It will likely be around when they take power?

The President is screwing things up royally. What is our plan?

Back when the war was first voted on
WITH THE INFORMATION GIVEN OUT AT THAT TIME
most Americans were in favor of the war

The war was not really unjust, it was launched with a hidden agenda and mishandled.

Politicians are acting like politicians and brats. They have not lived up to their agenda and are doing nothing but duke it out about the war while the rest of country goes to h*** in a handbasket.

The repubs have no moral compasses just quest for power and profits. So whatever the dems are chasing other than their tails is not repubs morals.

Why are you worrying about the war? Are your kids over there?

Is ther nothing else here to worry about? How's your job? Secure? What's the rate you're paying on your credit card? What rate are they giving you on your savings account? How 'bout gas - easy to pay almost $3 per gallon? Do you believe it's going down this summer? What about hamburger and milk? You happy with the price of your deregulated cable and utilities? Think there will be a recession or depression? Anyone in your family paying for medicines and don't you love those co-pays even for allergy meds? What we going to do about health care? Keep allowing everybody to name their own profit margin at each level - 12% here + 8% + 10% ++++?

Oh - don't forget the mounting deficit we have to payoff because of all the contractors in Iraq and the tax cuts put through so the rich pay less taxes!

But, go worry about the war. There is nothing else going on.
