What exactly is Freedom of Speech??

I believe along with what is in the constitution, that all Americans are free to speak. Afterall, that is how Louis Farrakhan and Rev.Wright can spew such anti-American, anti-white hate speech without going to jail. So if I don't like the Louis Farrakhan's and the Jeramiah Wrights of this world I should have just as much right to speak out against them and the people who support their ideologies as they speak out against our skin color, our international politics and our previous Presidents and First Ladies!
If the DNC wants to make us keep our mouths shut, its not the Democratic party I grew up with!

I think you need to be either one of more clear, or more intellectually honest about who exactly is trying to take away your freedom of speech.
It seems to me that you have used a post with a title about Freedom of Speech to do to things: 1) You attack Wright and Farrakhan. (You'll be surprised and happy to learn that neither of those men is actually running for any office)
and
2) You make an assertion about some vague and undefinable "they" taking away your freedom to attack Wright and Farrakhan. (which is a little weird, because you are clearly able to do that here)
If you want to lodge a serious complaint about restricted free speech, you have to give a time and a place where your speech was restricted by the United States government, and you have to tell us exactly WHO restricted your speech and under what circumstances.
these forums are like a public square - many people to talk to, many to ignore; some crazies standing on soapboxes spewing nonsense, some people listening to them - and some arguing with them.
and then there are the folks who move about all the chaos, sometimes communicating, sometimes observing.
it is up to you what you do in the public square. you have posted a blog that is your every right to say what you want as long as you are not directly insulting a fellow PB member or otherwise violating the Terms of Service.
and just like we can ignore those we don't want to listen to in the public square, we can also engage, or try to persuade.
me, other than saying what i just said above, my only point i'd like to make is: since when are either of these guys running for public office? oh, they're not? OK, well maybe that's why i don't care so much about what they have to say.
If you haven't noticed, this PB blog is the only one available to those not "acceptable" to blog on the official open thread. They have closed that one down to all new memberships and only about 8 regular bloggers can post over there anymore.
Censorship runs rampant on that blog; if you do not fall into lock step with what the "regular" say you get banned immediately.
Welcome to the DNC machine.
(honk,honk)
You are using it right now in fact this is the 2nd time you have used the words "the party I grew up with" and I'll say it again. The party is still here, the people have changed go ask your friends as they are the ones that are doing every thing they can to split and change it.
