I actually wrote this sometime ago on Hillary Clinton's website on Jan. 7, 2008, just wanted to post it here too, again.

I have been paying more attention to the coverage of these primary elections a lot more since my vacation break from college. About a year ago, until these past few weeks, Hillary Clinton was certainly perceived as the inevitable democratic candidate, but we all hopefully now know, "there ain't no such thing."

I look at a candidate like Barack Obama and he truly embodies everything a democrat could possibly want in their president--except one, experience. We all know our country is in desperate need of restoration, abroad and here at home--especially restoration in the politics of government. With that being said then, Obama is right, we must believe in, and demand change. However, my gut feeling tells me the person with the capability to deliver on that change, in Washington and around the World, yes, on day one, is no doubt Hillary Clinton. Why her?

America has always seemed to move toward the mentality of always being on the hunt for the bigger, better deal. Sometimes it works, and sometimes the risk bites us in the "you know where." (i.e. Iraq, dependency on foreign oil, our reluctance to help those countries that cannot provide us with incentive to do so) What happened to the right and best resolution, with a more definite and certain outcome for the future? Experience does matter--a lot! Would you take any great sports legend's first career season starts, or their remaining legacies?
Obama has made himself known to the American public, and his time will most certainly come, but this time calls for Hillary.

With the political media coverage all but betting the farm on Hillary being dead in the water, I believe it is imperative that she acknowledge the force with which the Obama campaign has struck its chord. There is no need to attack that which should be accepted. We have found in Barack Obama our country's inspiration point, a change, a message of hope, and a motivational movement toward new beginnings. However, there invade real and pressing problems to our country at this very moment. It is not scare tactics, it is unfortunately the reality that we have been led into by the Bush administration's destruction and lack of production. While Senator Obama has invoked, provoked, and demaded the people's motivation toward a "change we can believe in," the difference we all must recognize and realize is, the presidency does not stop with inspiration and motivation. We must--we must, elect a president that can produce our inspiration's and our motivation's demanded outcome. This is change realized and change justified.

Experience does matter, and hopefully Senator Barack Obama's candidacy this time around will remind us so. I believe Hillary Clinton's fight is strong and steadfast, and the kids that need to "comeback" are us.

And still,

Clinton 08'

If you Knew what the Changes that need
By Betty Lou - Independent May 2nd 2008 at 7:05 pm EDT
to be made...neither of the candidates, Hillary, Barak, or McCain...will make these changes...why...because they can't and if they dared try...i suspect highly..."an accident" would take place...these Candidates are not in the race to make the changes that are required to get this country back on its feet...Corporate America will not allow it, Congress who are deep with Corporate America will not allow it, All the seats in the House will not allow it...where do you think their bread and butter come from.

nice and well thought out, I agree as well Bill didn't win the nomination until June that is why the Obamacans are trying to stop Democrats from having their votes, this is sad for the party and dangerous for America

Very Good
By 57 year old independent white male May 2nd 2008 at 7:06 pm EDT
Too bad more Clinton supporters were as articulte and thoughtful as you.

It is too bad Hillary Clinton is not as articulate and well spoken as you.

Too bad I am not as articulate and well spoken as you.

With that said I still support Barack Obama.

There is more truth to what you say than I like to admit.

But I am trying to learn a few new ones.

The Polls don't reflect the independent voters, and in PA you had a deadline to register or you couldn't vote. The next primaries are open and you can vote even if you just registered. That will change the percentages.....

So? What will you say after that? Take a stance, if you please.

Scary, scary....

I think with Hillary and Bill (third presidency)
this country will be in such a mess in four years that it will take a divine nominee and quite a few angels to straighten it out....

Bill embarassed her immensly as President in the White House and as FIRST MAN history could repeat itself......How sad....

Bingo! Mr. Bill Sir,
It will be a great relief to all once a decision is reached. Hopefully this primary will be the decider.
Take Care.

I agree. Experience does matter.
By Mike May 2nd 2008 at 11:55 pm EDT
That's why I am supporting Senator Barack Hussein Obama for the Democratic nomination.

He has more years experience at administration, as a senator, and worked as a neighborhood organizer for low pay.

He's anything but an elite. You aren't necessarily elite just because you're brilliant.

But don't give me the crap about Hillary being more experienced.

He is an Elite and veyvey wealthy. He also has been helped in his wealthuness by not so honorable people. You guys just ignore all of this. He has neve even taken his children or wife to Washington during his first year as senator. I know this for a fact because I know someone who lives 1 block from his apartment in Washington. He lives in a multi-million dollat home and his children go to the best schools in that city. He is not just like us as he wants you to believe!

The math is the same. There is no change in the dynamics.
By JMesserly May 3rd 2008 at 12:19 am EDT
Feel free to play with your fantasies, but come June don't be too surprized when the superdelegate hammer comes down hard on the Clinton campaign.

This pitch to reverse the popularly elected pledged deligates is utterly hopeless, but if you guys want to take your time coming to grips with reality, by all means do so.

Please do not delude yourself that any of these tissues of delusions that you are clinging to are persuasive.
Re: The math is the same. There is no change in the dynamics.
By Rubymom May 3rd 2008 at 12:28 am EDT
The math has not been fair as far as Obama's numbers. Hillary is being cheated and people voted when the man was vertually unknown. If the early votes were redone the numbers would be for Hillary and everyone knows it!
