Problem:
Recession. When the majority of everything purchased here on Main Street carries a label that reads, "made in china", even my brand new American flag, there's bound to be a recession.

Objective:
* Prevent a depression
* Create jobs
* Generate economy
* Increase the value of our dollar
* Restore economic faith in America
* Restore value in American products
* Return work ethic into American society

Example Solutions:
EMPLOYMENT:
* Implement large scaled public works projects enabling work force into employment:
* Construct the U.S. Border Cities plan (see post by Dawn) to resolve immigration/border control crisis while collecting taxes on millions of illegal alien wages earned annually.
* Reestablish the American Railroad system in Japanese Bullet Train form. Vacation by train once again and reignite small town America along the way.
* Erect windmills 15 miles off the coast of Virginia and power Washington green.
* Apply solar panels or windmills to all government facilities and power government green.
* Recognize and adhere to the Kyoto agreement of 2005.
* Reduce, recycle, reuse. Buildings, bridges, junk... all can be restored and/or redirected.
* Introduce National Community Service Duty, similar to Jury duty, requiring each American citizen over 16 years to complete 8 hours of community service per year.
* Or, provide a Community Service Tax Break Exchange Program whereas a citizen can reduce their taxes by contributing a number of hours in community service annually.
* Invest in national Tudors R US Program Centers similar to a library or YMCA for American education and enhancement including, but not limited to: English, math, arts, sciences, economics, nutrition, athletics, vocation skills and training.
* Develop Federal Public Universities available for qualified citizens wishing to further their education and knowledge.

HEALTH & SAFETY
* Cease direct to consumer marketing of prescription drugs in all forms of media advertisement. Notably, this epidemic has created an impaired economic environment for unstable and induced employers and employees. Moreover, drugging children impedes learning, growth, creativity, responsibility and coping skills. Additionally, all these "disorders" have made children and adults question their normalcy: their freedom to be Americans. Return doctors to a profession of well being as opposed to drug dealing. It's gone beyond pathetic.
* Address legal and illegal drug crisis; redirect abuse to the health concern it is; criminals jeopardize others; addicts violate themselves. Derived through impaired judgment and desperation, the worst is when they mix. Remove the crime from the drug permitting the drug not to produce the crime.
* One could grow tomatoes, however, most folks simply purchase from the supermarket; considering the mania associated with prescription psychotropic drugs, as well as the economic crisis, legalize marijuana, regulate it, tax it, done. Utilize the natural resource.
* Address the prison system at last: reduce cost; go green; implement smaller controlled facilities in pre established buildings separated by violent/non violent felonies; rehabilitate with a system that works for society, reduces crime and decreases repetitive offense.
*Relieve taxpayers of overspending on death row inmates and inefficient penal complexes.

SPENDING
* Monitor itemized receipts for government monies spent through collected citizen tax dollars.
* Eliminate budget increases, work within the finances you've got. Use less and invest the rest.
* Eliminate overspending in Washington. Mind your budget. Imagine every $1 is equivalent to one minute of a persons life, their time donated to sustaining our society; time not spent with family, but for family.
* Reduce expenses on space exploration; emphasize private fundraising. Earth needs us.
* Stop wasting tax dollars in Iraq.

TAXES:
* Encourage Americans to build and buy American.
* Impose import tax on products labeled, "made in china", or otherwise.
* Impose import tax on foreign companies operating within the USA.
* Impose imported product tax for American companies making products abroad.
* Provide tax break incentive for American based companies.
* Provide tax break incentive for American companies producing American made products.
* Provide low interest financial loan assistance for American small businesses.
* Provide tax break incentive for college students and graduates paying student loans.
* Provide tax break incentive for people driving American made cars, green cars or utilize public transportation.
* Provide Community Service Tax Break Exchange Program whereas a citizen can reduce their taxes by contributing a number of hours in community service annually.
* In God we trust; impose religious organization tax for those with collections, facilities and properties.
* Implement Federal flat tax rate, for example:
Earning: Under $25,000 = 5%
Between $25,000 - $50,000 = 10%
Between $50,000 - $100,000 = 15%
Between $100,000 - $150,000 = 20%
Between $150,000 - $200,000 = 25%
Between $200,000 - $250,000 = 30%
Between $250,000 - $350,000 = 35%
Above $350,000 = 40%

These are just a few ideas. When you think outside the box, you come full circle.

two cents... and thanks.
