Gosh, I hate that I have to work tonight, but I just wanted to post about Beau Biden. He broke my heart tonight. Here this soldier is about to be shipped off to war and yet, he doesn't brag about it. Hell, he didn't even mention it.

It wasn't until he said in his introduction of his father, that he would not be able to be here in the Fall and asked us to be there for his father and for Barack Obama, that I remembered why he wont be with us. He asked us to look after his father for him. I feel a little selfish for feeling what I'm now feeling.

I don't think he should have to go. I don't think it's fair. Not because Joe Biden is the Vice Presidential candidate, but because of what he went through. He lost the first half of his family and almost little beau and Hunter. And now, Beau is going into harms way and he could lose him.

And I'm a little pissed off because , here I see this brave soldier and father of his own, and I hear Republicans , run around telling America that we, the Democrats are the ones who don't love our country. Who's children are out there ? Who's children are fighting the wars they are sending us into ?

I pray to God, that he protect our troops . All of them. But I pray that the Lord  dispatches a special band of Angels to protect Beau .

How true

It is a sad shame than any sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, Uncles and Aunts, friends and cousins have to go serve in Iraq. And for what? For Haliburton profits and Exxon Oil?

Ha. and don't forget to keep us slaves at the pump, and sleeping on park benches eating cat food too.

And Beau did mention he could not be by his fathers side, and for us to keep his father safe because he couldn't be there for his inauguration to VP. He linked it full circle to when his father was always there for he and his brother, would tip toe in their room to kiss them goodnight. I heard Biden say in a separate talk that he sometimes got home in time for dessert, or late at night, when they were already sleeping, but he'd still go in to tuck them in. Very motherly (no offense, but he had to be father-mother) and he did a great job.

The part when spoke of his father

Choosing to stay with his kids, rather than taking the senate seat, got to me. The part where he said, "I can always be a senator"......but now I need to be a father....or something like that, .....anyway, that part really made it clear to me what a great man Biden really is. What a great father, what a great son!

You are so right - next week all week it is going to be a noun - a verb- and POW and Oh by the way did I mention I was a POW, It's been ten minutes I have I mentioned I was a POW.

We already know what it is like to elect a president that barely graduated college. Mccain was 894 in a class of 899. America can't make that mistake three times.
