If the Democratic Party doesn't want Florida and Michigan's votes in the primary, why do they need them in the general election? If someone told me that my vote would not be allowed in the primary, you can sure bet that they wouldn't get my vote in November.

Pencil Bluff--I would reply to your post, but I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to say.

You said "take the responsibility on your own shoulders for once and stop putting it on others to take care of for you"

Huh?

Ooops...that reply was for Betty Lou, not Pencil Bluff.

After West VA and KY, Hillary should get the respect she deserves. She will win big in both states.

Clearly the inclusive choice is Hillary 08.

According to Clinton only the large states count.

I agree with you that all statesa should count including states the size of WV and KY

Obama has won more of those states and more of the delegates.

Clinton is gaining delegates but losing the respect of more of the electorate,. Check the polls out.
She is paying the price of going negative. She is paying the price for using the politics of fear.

She is paying a price for standing up for what she believes in and what her supporters believe in. Again that is what America is about. The ones pushing her to get out will regret it in the long run.

I agree that is what America is about.
She has made her case.

The people have voted by the rules set out. Let the primary play out. I am willing to stand by the vote.

It is pretty clear that Obama will win.

Clinton fought hard but lost.

49 count now - unless Hillary rejects the Michigan compromise...

If I was Hillary, I would reject the proposal. Obama took his name off by his choice and he is not the only one in that undecided category. I believe Edwards was still in it.

Actually, Trey. That's not going to be decided until May 31. Obama plans to declare victory and take the nomination on May 12...without Michigan or Florida. At least that's what is being reported as we speak...

I am so sorry to say; but you are the one that needs educated. You are just so sure that it all is a done deal. Well, it's not done until it's done. They will find a way to count FL & MI. You cannot leave out one of the 4 biggest states in the US. What are you thinking? Don't count your chickens before they hatch....
Re: I agree

Unfortunately, I think they WILL leave out these two states. There is nothing fair or democratic about the way our Democratic Party is being run right now.

Maybe someone should remind them of how the people screamed with Al Gore winning the majority of voters and FL. Now that I think about it, he dropped the fight as well. So did Kerry in Ohio.

I know what is going on and am tired of it.
BO wants to avoid the FL and MI issue. It will not go away. I hope Hillart takes it all the wat to the floor of the convention.

Stop drinking the Kool Aid and open your eyes.

Off subject, but when did kool-aid become a negative drink? I like it and have been drinking it for most of my 52 years. It was a very economical treat for my mom to serve.
kool aid

"Jonestown was a short-lived settlement made in northwestern Guyana by the Peoples Temple, a cult from California. Jonestown became lastingly and internationally notorious in 1978 when over 900 people died in a mass murder-suicide orchestrated by their leader, Jim Jones."

The poison was put into Kool Aid and given to the members. Thereafter Kool Aid became associated with brain washing.

Don't vote for the DNC
By 57 year old independent white male May 9th 2008 at 12:29 am EDT
Obama or Clinton did not make the rule to not include MI or FL

Clinton went along with the decision until she was behind and felt she needed the vote

Clinton did not fight for MI or FL until she needed them. She did not fight for them when she did not feel she needed them.

Obama has been consistent. The party made the decision he has gone along with it.
Re: Don't vote for the DNC

The voters didn't make that decision, either. That decision was made by their state party leaders. Throw the leaders overboard if you want to punish someone. The voters should not be penalized. Most of them went to the polls thinking it was just business as usual.

I agree.

But you should not punish Obama.
Re: Don't vote for the DNC

He opted to pull his name off in Michigan and it was a ploy by the "boys" to try to put her into a situation she did not buy into, nor did Senator Dodd. You know, Sen. Dodd aka Obama supporter. Go ahead, tell them their votes don't matter and one is a tradionally Democratic state that loves Mitt Romney because of his dad and could very easily turn red . . . then what will the DNC do?
Re: Don't vote for the DNC

Oh, I know, the great state of Idaho Obama supporters think will go blue . . . and how many others to make up the electorate?
Re: Don't vote for the DNC

The whole thing is not as simple as you guys put it in regards to FL & MI. There were others things attached to passing that, Republicans were more involved and the only thing that Hillary really agreed on was not to CAMPAIGN in those states. There was not a mention to not counting the delegates I don't think; but I could be wrong. It doesn't matter, we are America. We all have our voting right. Just because some politicians made a rule to penalize the people; doesn't mean the people cannot stand up and demand to be heard!
