Like Obama, Biden's story is the story of the American Dream.  Obama, a black American, raised by a single mother graduated with honors from Harvard and now aspires to the highest office in the land.  Biden was raised in a poor catholic family in Scranton PA.  A TOUGH family. LOL.  His mother once paid him to go beat up a neighborhood bully who beat up Biden's younger brother.

Even though Biden has been in Congress for 30 years, he is still more like a regular American family man.  Unlike other Senators who live in DC, Biden for 30 years has taken the train back to his home in Delaware every night.  The people in Delaware don't know him as "the senator".  They know him as their neighbor.

Tragedy and Honor?  Biden's stories outdo McCain's war prisoner stories any day. Shortly after he was elected as the youngest US Senator at age 29, his family was in an automobile accident in which his wife and daughter were killed and his sons were injured. Biden didn't even want to take oath for office, but was talked into it.  He took the oath of office in his sons hospital room.  Then in 1988 just before Biden had a serious operation, he called his sons to his bedside to tell them that he loved them. CATHOLIC  WORKING CLASS FAMILY VALUES  WORK ETHIC - THAT'S JOE BIDEN.

AND WHAT'S HE GOING TO DO?  I think he is going to do what John Kennedy did in West Virginia when he ran for president.  He is going to be blunt.  Biden is going out into all those area where there are white people who are not voting for Obama because he is black and he is going to have a blunt talk with them--talking the language they understand, the language of fellow who was raise in Scranton.  Biden will say things like "I know he is not white but let me tell you why I think you should vote for him anyway."  Yes he will and they will listen to Biden.

OBAMA IS BRILLIANT AND THAT IS WHY HE CHOSE JOE BIDEN.

Oh and one more thing:  Both Obama and Biden have similar attitudes toward their opponents--the don't demonize them.  They simply approach them from the standpoint that their opponents are misinformed.

A few things about Biden. He is considered by all a ‘good guy’ and for a politician that speaks volume. There are few if any, better than Joe on foreign policy. And he has a great, ‘story&acir c;€™. He appeals to the Catholic working class that seems to be Obama’s biggest problem…no ‘elitist&ac irc;€™ tag for Joe. And lastly…a ‘gaffe&acir c;€™ is really telling the truth when it is not politically correct. Joe can do this and get away with it. Joe tells it like it is. Unions were pushing for Joe as VP. Joe balances the ticket perfectly.
