After years of bashing intelligent and thinking people and after years of people like Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh equating Liberals with Satan, it would appear that the intelligent American is making a come back.  I see evidences of it all over the USA today.  Even on this DNC blog.  This morning one of the bloggers “My Vote” posted a great comment about Bush’s biggest gaffe this week: 'Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

“My Vote” let us all know that U.S. Sen. William Borah, the author of the quote was a Republican.  It’s the truth and the willingness of Americans such as “My vote” to seek and share the truth that will restore our democracy to the good health that it deserves.

Borah did have a connection with Democrats, however.  Borah conducted a long-time affair with Allice Longworth , the daughter of Theodore Roosevelt   and the wife of fellow politician Nicholas Longwordh. He was long rumored to be the biological father of Alice Longworth's only child, Paulina Longworth, who was born nearly 20 years into her parents' marriage. Alice Roosevelt's diaries were made available to her biographer, historian Stacy A. Cordery, who found and published Alice's own admission of Borah's paternity.  ( wiki)

I’m not suggesting that we all must hold advanced degrees in order to know the truth, but we do have to be intelligent enough to stop accepting at face value what our leaders and the mainstream media tell and don’t tell us.  We can start thinking for ourselves and it looks like more and more Americans are doing just that.

Barack Obama set a great example yesterday by not letting himself be swift-boated by Bush.  Obama’s example is what we all must do:  stand up to the propaganda machines and those who crank these machines.

Bush came to us with "words" of working across lines, bipartisan, Compassionate Conservatism,
Family values, hope for a better future. He was a guy people felt they could have a beer with.

Nice guy..... funny.... easy to like.....
The stupid people fell for it..... Didn't work out.

Now, the people have another chance on a popularity vote.

Issues, policies, solutions.... all matter.

We want to know these before you kick Clinton out of the race......

That is why I have been standing up to you, your constant drumbeat of vitriolic hate which you have spewed at Hillary at least since my first time on this blog can only be rivaled by the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity and others. You still don't get it do you, but then you probably never will so stop with the sanctimonious, self-righteousness and the pompous neo-attitude your past post have negated any attempt at intellect you claim to possess.
