Al Gore is encouraging people to participate in house parties this Saturday to watch his documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth.” He's also asking that you send a message to Congress in January.

An Inconvenient Truth provides scientific evidence to explain how global warming will affect all of us unless we take serious measures to reduce pollution and emissions.

EB Alert

Senator Bayh recently traveled to New Hampshire and explained that energy independence and global warming were two of his top priorities in the next Congress.

If you attend a house party this weekend, All America PAC has an open thread for your comments, concerns and pictures. They will feature the best entry as a guest blog.

Watch the movie and you'll see the extent of these objections -- few and far between in the scientific community.

The only people who disagree with the vast majority of scientists on this are a handful of nutcases on the payroll of energy companies.

Not that it will change your mind!

Global Warming Is Real
By Grassroots Democrat Bruce Dec 16th 2006 at 7:25 pm EST
It's my understanding that the evidence that humans are contributing to global warming is quite convincing. There's still time to sign an e-postcard at algore.com, and it sounds like there will be another round of house parties in the future. Skeptics are welcome to go to a house party and talk constructively about global warming. Lets help publicize the post cards and next round of house parties!

Congrats to Al

I am a volunteer for Mr. Gore at his incredible television network, Current TV. Though overshadowed by his commitment to global climate change and perhaps rightly so the network is an achievement on its own. Its formula of user created content has subtly seeped into other news networks and has forever changed the way news is covered. I act as a community moderator there. A volunteer position that I am very proud to hold. The community knew of Al's slideshow and the network blogged about it as far back as 2005 when it was still just that a slideshow. I couldn't have imagined that it would turn into An Inconvenient Truth and am immensely proud of Al’s media endeavors. First in giving a voice on television to the average person and then in giving a voice to a movement that though supported by scientific fact was often marginalized in the press. God bless him!
