As a former Hillary supporter, I've watched with increasing dismay, what is happening vis a vis the Mccain-Pallin campaign. Mccain's campaign seems to be creating all the juice, while we seem to have run out of steam!
Instead of picking Hillary as VP (as 28% of the delegates wanted at the convention) you've allowed Mccain to steal the thunder by selecting a woman, thereby losing many of Hillary's original base. Instead of attacking Pallin's complete inexperience and inept anti-science, anti-choice anti-family policies, you're tiptoeing around, afraid of seeming sexist. You need to get out a better message! You also need to stop running Obama's most recent ad seen in PA which continues to talk about Mccain's real estate instead of talking about real issues.
Lastly, take a look at yesterday's (9/7/08) NT Times front page. There were 2 photos; one showed Obama speaking in Terre Haute, Indiana which looked like an EMPTY ROOM! The other showed Mcain and Pallin's arrival in Colorado Springs which looked like to be thousands strong. Images like these stick with the American people, and no-one wants to be thought of voting for the "loser". You need to create more events for large numbers of people to attend for the photo ops Obama needs if he and Biden are to win in November.

2. it has traditionally been the practices of BOTH parties that the VP is chosen by the Presidentiall nominee.
3. re Colorado Springs! PLEASE THE HOME OF DOBSON, Mr. Evangelical family values, gay conversion expert, freak himself. and Miss Assembly of God arriving. I would have expected no less. They chose that town specifically to exploit that audience.
4. True Hillary supporters, those who supported Hillary because of what she stands for are not ABOUT to vote for Palin merely because she has a vagina.
That is insulting to Hillary and all her supporters.
Yes, women who follow Hillary are not likely to follow Palin, because of the policy differences, BUT, the fact that McCain had no fear in selecting a woman, especially someone who is strong and confident, appeals to women. Women, who dearly want to bring it down that glass tower.
I don't think she is the answer, as she will set women back in some respects. The image of strong women is a good thing and it's actually refreshing to see it in the limelight. Hillary would have been a good choice, as she would not only have brought that aspect, but would also have brought experience and has international sieve.
My personal opinion is that the polls would be reading a great deal different, if he had picked Hillary, the 10 points would be in his favor.
