Does anyone wonder why McCain just happened to be in Columbia when the hostages who have been held for 5-6 years were rescued???? This rescue had been planned for months... The Columbian government did and EXCELLENT job with their covert planning of this rescue-- (Can't WAIT to see the movie!!! smile)...

But does McCain think that we are fooled that it was just a coincidence that he just happened to make a trip down on the day of the planned rescue??? Reminds me of the hostages in Iran and Reagan... Fishy fishy fishy... The things the Repulsicans will do to win an election-- Do they really think we are that stupid that McCain wasn't informed about this rescue and decided to go down there for publicity???

If it smells like a fish... Interested to know if you all feel the same way I do???

He is not taking credit but because this rescue had been planned since May-- you got to know he had inside info that it would be happening-- Don't think it is a coincidence that he was in the right place at the right time... Think he went down there hoping that the success of this mission would somehow rub off on him...

I am an extended family member. This item drew my attention, because it was not highly publicised that Governor Bill Richardson was the one that was bartering the release of the American Hostages. All of the Eichardson grassroot alumni recieved a note from the Governor to that effect.
Why wasn't it made public knowledge???

Little Dine,

Richardson was down there MANY weeks (few months)ago & NEVER had direct contact with FARC...He attempted to negotiate through the press & it did not work.

Over last 5-6 years others have tried this & failed....Yesterday the Colombian govt pulled it off...

I don't think Americans really knew much about these hostages as much as we did about our hostages held by a "terrorist" nation, Iran.

back off on this
By MICHAEL on The Beach Jul 3rd 2008 at 8:53 pm EDT
Fact is 3 Americans are now home & this is not an issue that warrants attacking any party.

There was a failed attempt in Feb at a rescue & the rescue yesterday followed this. Whie there are many elements that have gone on for long time this was a NEW APPROACH.

Consider sending McCain down a diversion...Consider this a great achievement....

Now we should pass the Colombian Free Trade Agreement....

Don't get me wrong-- I am ecstatic that they were rescued!!!! I was in tears watching them... I just don't think it was a coincidence that McCain just happened to be down there on that day...

You know Bush knew about this plan and encouraged McCain to go down there...

I agree with you on this one Gretchen, Sounds a little suspect to me. Now if something happens while he is in Mexico, I'll know something is up!

I dont put anything past the REPUGs, they may have wanted to give McCain credit some how, and got their bubble burst.

But I am truly glad those folks are home safe now. I was crying too.

Yes, happily agree that these people are home safe.

But it still sounds fishy and I can't stand fish.

Re: I don't think McCain is taking credit

exactly...the credit goes to the Colombian Govt..
Re: I don't think McCain is taking credit
By Gretchen Jul 3rd 2008 at 9:04 pm EDT
I commend the Columbian government-- They were absolutely brilliant!!! They could not of thought out a better plan-- No one was killed and ALL of the hostages were brought to the same place... AMAZING!!! BRILLIANT!!!

I just really think that McCain knew before hand that this was going to happen-- I think he wants some of this success to rub off on him... He didn't have anything to loose-- if it hadn't been successful then because it was a covert plan, we would have heard nothing about it... If it was successful then he has the history of the Iranian hostage situation and Reagan to see that this helped Reagan-- There were three Americans in this group... I just think his trip was planned around this rescue!!
Re: I don't think McCain is taking credit
By MICHAEL on The Beach Jul 3rd 2008 at 9:10 pm EDT
How about this easy answer...HE WAS A DIVERSION...Colombian govt knew McCain was coming down...Entire country knew....If I am FARC I know this & drop my guard....BINGO!
Re: I don't think McCain is taking credit
By Blueberry Jul 3rd 2008 at 9:15 pm EDT
Huh? How do you figure THAT?

"If I am FARC I know this & drop my guard....BINGO!"

McCain's visit was perfect timing for FARC to do a publicity stunt which was the basis of the plan that tricked the local guards.
Re: I don't think McCain is taking credit
By Gretchen Jul 3rd 2008 at 9:26 pm EDT
I believe that McCain being down there was to give the American people the impression that the repuslicans has something to do with the success of this rescue-- ANYTHING to bolster his image to the American people-- I am the candidate that will save you from the terrorist...

He won't take credit-- just wants to leave an impression... Like I said-- this was covert-- if it had not been successful none of us would have known anything about it-

I will ask litle Dine to get a copy of the memo he received a while back from GBR. He is the one that handles Dine' Warrior's Email.
I do not know when Little Dine' will be back from the family gathering. The whole family has come together, regarding Dine' Warrior.

Thepage from where the article was had been removed.
BIG QUESTION WHY?
When you go to link hit home page. That is very fishy. Unless I made a mistake.

The repulsicans probably removed it to give McCain credit for everything... smile... They are also probably responsible for us not having IM's on PB... smile...

You can send PMs by going route of friend request or friend messaging. little Dine' figured it out as an alternative, It was found by little Dine' that friend requests go directly to personal email routing for notification. if accompanied by personel message, which will appear on the email, but they can not open up on PM in social net. The personal message is printed on the message space of the request..If no message is on the request you will not get anything on social net PM.

Needed correction, only work's on friend request.
You need to route the message to a friend, by havung another freind of your's that is not a friend of the person you are trying ro reach. Only setback is thar you must advise the person not to accept as friend, because it only work's with non friends on the network.
