I see where some communities are not allowing foreclosures to continue.
According to the classic economic model, this is a moral hazard.
Rather than applying the intellect to rationalize a moral hazard of not allowing the rich to get richer and the poor poorer, elevating oneself with the deprivation of others, to provide for the General Welfare, the intellect is applied to do the right thing: a moratorium on foreclosures.
With the application, the critique, of pure reason, the moral hazard becomes the moral imperative, categorically applied to solve problems, first with the relief of deprivations by reapplication of the gain the deprivation produces.
Analyzing the losses as abstract values of arbitrary and capricious market sentiments and the collective call for relief toward resolution as the ungrateful whining of the ignorant masses are the product of a limited moral intelligence.
The People have progressed beyond the limited intelligence of elitist prescriptions for the General Welfare.
Doing the right thing solves problems. Imagine that!
Let The People rule!

It's all moot now. No one is talking about the moral hazard of propping up key banking institutions by buying stock or of not allowing GM to fail.
The consequences of not giving federal support for small business loans are morally catastrophic, though at this stage, it is difficult for most to appreciate the impending doom that is threatenned. Outside of housing, most everything has the appearance of normalcy.
