Civil Liberties have been eroded to the extent that we must now secure our own civil security. With the Bush government breathing down our necks its often on people's mind that the Government may be spying on them in the name of "the war on terror". I beleive in securing our country but not at the expense of our own freedoms.

civil (in)security

The neo-conservative brand of securing civil society is a civil insecurity. Not irony...a dangerous truth that needs a very decisive change of executive administration.

Look at the campaigns. Obama is offering detailed pragmatic solutions to real problems, McCain largely on the celebrity of a presidential candidate. Obama labors over the difficult and abstruse, McCain the puerile and obvious. McCain may be the oldest but not the most maturely qualified candidate by any indication of his campaign (Rove) strategy (just more of the problem that needs solving).

Obama 2008!

Very best wishes.

Patriot Act
By Hector Santana Aug 10th 2008 at 10:50 pm EDT (Updated Aug 10th 2008 at 10:50 pm EDT)
Cell phones, laptops, wireless systems and all that technology that make our lives easier are also another way for our government to keep tabs on us. The Patriot Act did more to destroy many of our rights than two hundred years of American History. We must do away with this law before it does away with our way of life.
