I am visiting my grandson in Cancun, Mexico right now and a friend of his that works for some guy named Carlos Slim showed us a copy of the "Whitey" Tape. Please read more below.

How they got it down here in Mexico I really do not know. I know that I am still speechless. I hope for our sake that it has been tampered with but it is sooo bad. What it is not is what we have been saying all this time. Her speech is clear and her point is clearly to belittle American White people. God help us when the GOP does use this in a spot. If Sen. Obama has any spine he will resign from the race just as Gary Heart did after the Donna Rice affair. It really is this bad. Sen. Obama and his campaign better try to do more than HOPE that this thing goes away. I am here to tell you that it is not going away and as soon as Sen. Obama's party is over in Denver we will be crucified by this same tape.

I saw with my eyes and heard with my ears. No room for doubt and I only wish is that you would never have to see it but I know that you will. As soon as Denver is over and done the whole damn country will see this. What then of November?

Watch it again. Take the implied phrase, "whitey" and consider it in the sentence form it is suggested... notice the inflection at the end of each sentence, clearly suggesting interrogative form (questioning)?

Why’d he cut folks off medicaid?
Why’d he let New Orleans drown?
Why’d he do nothing about Jena?
Why’d he put us in Iraq for no reason?

vs. (suggested as language used)

Whitey cut folks off medicaid?
Whitey let New Orleans drown?
Whitey do nothing about Jena?
Whitey put us in Iraq for no reason?

Notice, the second group of interrogative sentences (you can't remove the inflection in her voice) make no sense as a question.
Sleep well tonight, this won't fly. It's laughable.

Come now, Artemis. You surely don't expect those who hate blindly to have the eyes to see truth? Or with ears of stone hear truth?

I scanned all of Holland's posts before even responding to this one. I didn't see hate though. I'll hear him out. If he has web access to it, Cancun or Timbuktu, he can share it just as easily as it was shared with his nephew.

It is not what we are trying to say it is. Everything she says is clear and to the point "Whitey did nothing 'bout Jena?" that one word "D-I-D" makes us D-E-A-D dead in the water. They know this and need to do more than deny this.

Yeeeeeaaaaaaaah. Too much tequila...

Oh, I can assure you, I never claimed to be bright. I also never claimed, "They showed us the tape."

What do you expect? You may as well have said, "They were there and told me what They heard."

Holland, I spend a lot of time in Puerto Morelos. Not too many tapes floating around, not any actually. More pirated DVD's than I've ever seen but I haven't seen a VCR anywhere in the region for years.

Tape or DVD... what's the difference... Why won't you comment on the contents. On what I heard and saw. Why are you just denying what I know to be true. I hope you do apologize to me one day.

Just THINK about it.

What we need is for Sen. Obama to go quietly into the night because this tape is for real and denying it is not going to make it go away. He needs to do the right thing and drop out now. He can say it's his health or he can say any damn thing that he wants to. I know it is sad to see that his wife has cost him the Presidency but tough luck for him. He knows it exists.

You can hear what you WANT to hear, or hear the truth. The Republicans WANT to hear that b.s. and pray every day that it's true. We who have more discernment know better.

Re: Bordelon

I'm beginning to believe you Bordelon. But, the part I'm believing is not what you might suspect. The part I am focusing on the where you say "it is not what WE are trying to say it is", with the operative word being WE. The WE referred to is the REPUBLICANS. Your identification as conservative shows your leanings, my veteran brother. We are Democrats. There is nothing conservative about a real Democrat.
Re: Bordelon
By Bordelon Jun 17th 2008 at 2:22 am EDT
There is something very conservative about being a Democrat. People like you that have hijacked my party have no doubt did more damage to our country by your presence in the democratic party tan the GOP has or ever will do or be able to do. I doubt you know your history well enough to get into this with me so I will just forget you even spoke.
Re: Bordelon
By Pale Rider Jun 17th 2008 at 2:42 am EDT
Your memory of what the New Deal stood for is hazy if you considered it conservative. Do you think the Republicans would go for anything such as public works projects? Hell, no.
You complain that the more progressive of our party have ruined it. Why do you think the progressives have surged o the forefront lately? Because too many of the "conservative Democrats" have rolled over and allowed the Bush administration to stick it up the rear of every hard-working citizen in this country, which has benefited the wealthy ONLY. That is what your conservatism has gotten us. The progressives have been too lax, not vocal enough to stem the bleeding that Bush and his oil cronies were willing to pawn off on the people, not caring a damn that they were dragging this country into the grave.
ENOUGH OF THAT! WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH! No longer will we stand by and let the corporations run this country into less than third world status.
Re: Bordelon
By Bordelon Jun 17th 2008 at 2:52 am EDT
Please read about Huey Long... I can be progressive on economic issues. But I am a social conservative. Is there any place that is written that I have to be for abortion of gay marriage in order to be a democrat. I think not. I am pro life but I doubt I am the only democrat who is. I was married to a woman for many years but I don't care if someone else is gay... they got toe same amount of rights as I do. Does this make me less democrat. No. Get you facts straight. I doubt that you know that FDR was a segragationist was he less democrat. No . but it still didn't make segragation right. just as pro abortion democrats do not make abortion right.
Re: Bordelon
By Gretchen Jun 17th 2008 at 3:03 am EDT
NO one is PRO abortion they are PRO choice!!! You are definitely one of Limbagh's lemmings... You outed yourself by your language... go back to your GOP blog where you belong!!
Re: Bordelon
By Bordelon Jun 17th 2008 at 3:09 am EDT
Pro abortion is not pro choice... Only in the US I do not have a choice to wear or not wear a seatbelt. But a woman can choose to have or not have a child. Only here in the US is it murder to kill a woman and her unborn child but a woman can Terminate pregnancy at any time. Come on I do not want to argue about abortion. I am not for it but I believe that a woman has the right to choose. I just wish I had the same right to choose if I do not want to wear a seat belt at my age I should not have to. But a cop will give me a ticket. No one gives women tickets for abortions.
Re: Bordelon
By Pale Rider Jun 17th 2008 at 3:21 am EDT
Ok, but listen to what you are saying. FDR was a segregationist. Think about the social climate of this country when he was president. The entire country was segregationist. He was a product of his times. As this country has been dragged more and more to the right by a Republican white House, and previous to that, a Republican-controlled congress, there has been a backlash building up. As the gap between the wealthy and poor grows to the most monstrous proportions in the history of this country, the pressure has been building and building to blow the lid off the Republican control and start to once again lift up the little guy.
You speak of the issues of gay marriage and abortion. I, too would never engage in either one. But, I perfectly understand the propensity of government to take a little bit here and there, saying it is temporary (look at income taxes), but, never giving back any ground they took. So, if we are to allow government to cut short the rights of this person, or that, we endanger our own freedoms, because government never gives back, it only takes more. I know the horrors that went on while abortion was considered illegal. Prohibition failed miserably, as will every single attempt that man ever makes at legislating morality. The issue of outlawing abortion is one of those laws. The Supreme Court has not yet openly stated what I have just said. They might never do so. But, they recognized it as true and saw the futility of such efforts. While we are not forced to be for the concept of gay marriage and abortion, we MUST recognize the RIGHT in supporting these issues as well as why that support IS right.
Re: Bordelon
By Bordelon Jun 17th 2008 at 3:28 am EDT
I agree 100 % but only in the US can a woman choose to terminate her pregnancy because it's her body and she has a right to privacy but I can not choose not to wear my seatbelt. If I don't wear my seatbelt I will get a ticket. I have gotten more than one ticket for no seatbelt. What about my right to choose not to wear the damn thing! What about my right to privacy. You see to me abortion is worse than no seatbelt but no ticket for abortion... Go figure.
Re: Bordelon
By Pale Rider Jun 17th 2008 at 3:52 am EDT
Hmm...yer right bout them damned seatbelts.
*grumble grumble grumble* But, you know what? I can hardly sit in my car and feel comfortable not wearing one any more. : (
I feel that the Supreme Court allowed Roe V Wade to stand as being an issue of a woman's right to choose what to do with her body not because it is necessarily the right concept to frame that issue in, but, because they knew the futility, as I said above. You cannot legislate morality. The issue of controlling abortion goes to the basic idea of whether to allow fornication, which is the usual reason that unwanted pregnancies occur, and which is a morality issue.
I think we should carry this discussion on at your nearest crappie hole. But...damned high gas prices.

Again
By Rubymom Jun 17th 2008 at 2:13 am EDT
Again, Obama Supporters REFUSE to see facts. Now, I haven't heard the tapes myself; so I cannot say to their factual meaning. But, even if it is true (and here is a blogger saying that they heard it and there is no denying Michelle's tone) you REFUSE to even consider it factual. This has been the problem during this entire election. Factual things are brought to attention; but most everyone that supports Obama REFUSES to accept the truth. They just refuse. If the tape is true and if the words were spelled out as to what she really said, Obama supporters would not believe it, even if it were admitted by Michelle Obama. This is why the Democrat Party is in such a mess. But, I gave up trying to nicely point out things that I had a concern with and after awhile you get tired of trying to help when people refuse to see what you are talking about.

When you have an 80 YO CONSERVATIVE from LOISIANA railing against a Progressive Democrat and calling for him to "step down" , it's pretty darn suspicious.

He obviously doesn't feel it's an error. I can't be the judge, I've never seen such a tape, nor do I truly believe there is one. But, there's no 'smear' here if he believes what he heard. It's as simple as that. I'd stick up for anyone to voice their honest opinion.
