Who will finally sign the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act? Not President Bush, and none of the 2008 Republican presidential candidates, that's for sure. Their refusal to sign even stands in opposition to the 60 percent of Republicans who support expanded protection of the LGBT community's civil rights. Does Matthew Shepard ring a bell? He may be the most publicized victim of a hate crime based on sexual orientation, but similar cases abound everyday -- and they deserve to be taken seriously. Hate affects everyone. Donate to the Democratic Party and help us reject hate today.

The Democrats in Congress have the ability to pass laws without more money being donated. Come up with some real action and then ask for more money.

Don't Make Me Do This

If you look at My Motto, you will see that it says

"I don't have to walk a mile in another persons shoes in order to defend their right to wear them"

I demonstrated this when I stood up for Ashley Levine who was discriminated against and denied employment because of a physical disability she received when she was just a little tiny toddler.

Having stated that, I do not believe that the DNC should be talking about Hate Crimes and the GLBT Community when they are currently being sued for discriminating against their former LGBT Advisor for being a Homosexual.

I believe it is in the DNC's best interests to address this issue and state their side of the story because if you continue to ignore it, it will create a serious distrust, not in just the GLBT Community, but in other protected classes of Americans.

I am not part of any GLBT affiliated group and I admit that I do not PROactively talk about Gay Issues, but I will be damned if I sit by and say nothing when they are discriminated against. Make no mistake about that. I may not be Gay, but I will go to bat and confront those who discriminate against them.

DEAL WITH THIS ISSUE OR ELSE I WILL MAKE THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY AWARE OF WHAT'S GOING ON !

Governor,

I am personally aware that members have addressed dozens upon dozens of messages to PartyBuilder. Barely a handful have been answered. Two letters of concerns have been hand-delivered to the DNC. A petition signed by almost 30 regular posters was sent to the DNC. No response, no acknowledgement was forthcoming. This history has convinced every member that the DNC cares not a whit about PartyBuilder blogs.

All of these efforts have had as their context adjustments to the software which the members have agreed would make the site more usable and more attractive. Our aim has been to open a dialogue to these ends and we have been ignored and justifiably feel snubbed.

I am therefore puzzled that you would wish to comment to us through PartyBuilder while ignoring our attempts to comment to you.
