Women, just women

I was raised by two strong women, my grandmother and mother. I did not come from a broken family. I owe everything I have been able to accomplish in my life from these two women. They did not learn this on their own, as back in "their day", it was still the old adage of barefoot and pregnant. It was a matter of their ancestors being strong willed as well. I was raised and to me, that is one of the most important things that is missing in this society, being raised. I was taught manners, to respect EVERYONE but most of all, I was taught to be me.
I am a little "long in the tooth" as some might say, but I have seen many changes in the lives of women. I was one of the first members of NOW and if my home had not burned, I would still have that necklace that was sent out to everyone. I have seen women degraded (Anita Hill still upsets me terribly), I have seen women take the fall (Republican she may be, but the HP gal), and I still see the crap going on in the workforce. I see people that get fired or laid off every day. There are stories out there that people wouldn't believe and it is sad you cannot tell them or have a link to show.
The saddest part of it all is women are more than 50% of the voting block of the Democratic Party. Women have very little voice it seems. It saddens me we came here tonight to have a serious discussion about some problems and there are great posts, but then some tried at the beginning to ruin it. Don't bother posting to this last comment, it is obvious.
One of these days, the United States of America will have a woman President. It should have been Senator Clinton. When that happens, you will see a balanced budget, people at work and most of all, less war mongering. This is what many people should have really looked at in the election but didn't. The media helped us all into a more difficult world in which we all have to live in.

These issues are not important!
1. Rape
2. Being fired for Breast Feeding
3. Being fired because of age
4. Women being abused.
O supporters make me sick!
She was equally loved and loathed - surprisingly, not for her gender, but for her absolutism and her domestic and foreign policies:
- EU membership and the common currency
- The labor movement (unions) and right to strike
- Privatization of water, gas, electricity, public transportation
- The Poll Tax (instead of property tax based uniquely on the value and location of the property, a uniform per-occupant tax which meant that in some cases, a wealthy person living alone in a five bedroomed house paid less than a family of three or four living in a one bedroom apartment)
- Allowing the US to use UK soil and airspace to attack other countries (Libya, for example)
- Militarism and the war with Argentina
- VAT (a consumption tax which was implemented the day Thatcher came into power, at first 15%, then rose to 17.5%)
= A deterioration in spending on public services such as the National Health Service and education
- Selling off cemetaries in London for construction of residential and office property (the bodies were dug up and relocated outside of London. Some of the cemetaries were sold for as little as A PENNY).
- 10% unemployment (the UB40 song "One In Ten" is about this)
- Apartheid in South Africa (refusal to impose sanctions on the apartheid government)
- Northern Ireland policy - she was completely unyielding and unwilling to negotiate any kind of peace process. Even imposed a ban on the voices of Sinn Fein politicians being broadcast in the UK.

Give me a break, every time you and Lincoln come on this blog it is a nightmare. Lincoln said she was having her own on your site, why not. Because you wanted to start bull shit.
nor promo of all that rfelated to afro America.
However I do not blame anyone but myself for having assumed that this was going to be a real forum on what was claimed.
Why can't people maintain it in the general view of the sufferring or women's plight with out making it a competition in racial promotion.
That is the saddest thing of all.
