Summary: Obama HQ asked us not to demonstrate outside of the DNC Rules and By Laws Meeting on Saturday, May 31, 2008 in Washington, DC. The meeting may determine how the Florida and Michigan delegates are seated at the Democratic National Convention in August, 2008.

Obama HQ wants us to register voters in our local communities (not outside the hotel - smile) on Saturday during or after the DNC meeting. Watch the meeting live on CSPAN.

Join your local Barack Obama supporters and register voters on Saturday. There are voter registration events Saturday and they need YOU!

Voter Registration Drive - Saturday, May 31 2008

Instead of protesting, Obama HQ is encouraging Obama supporters from across the region to make a positive impact on Saturday, May 31 by joining the Vote for Change National Voter Registration and Mobilization Drive. Plan a voter registration drive.

Virginia Area Voter Drive - Saturday, May 31, 2008

Voter Registration events in the Virginia area on Saturday, May 31, 2008. See a map of voter registration drives already planned in VA on the Obama web site.

Obama Campaign Said...

We can send a powerful message to the special interests that dominate the old politics if millions of people get registered to vote. Recent voter registration drives have registered more than 200,000 new Democrats in Pennsylvania, more than 165,000 new Democrats in North Carolina, and more than 150,000 new Democrats in Indiana. Those numbers just scratch the surface of what's possible.

Sorry but if Senators Clinton and Obama policies are similar and McCain's are on the opposite end of the spectrum - how do you justify the change in your voting? Do you want the war to continue? Do you not want better health care? Please consider the positions of the candidates and not the emotions.

Donia,

88% of the Pima County vote came from Tucson. Obama got 45% of the Democratic Primary vote to Clinton's 51% in Pima County. Clearly people in Tucson voted for Obama in the primary and it is certainly logical to assume those people as well as the majority of Democrats who voted for Hillary would vote for him in the general election.

I don't know why I bothered other than curiosity. The bottom line, you are full of shit.

Doing something PRACTICAL and USEFUL instead of doing something illogical and counter-productive. Makes sense! These Hill folks are rally something aren't they?
My favorites are Sandi & Jenn---They're the most hateful and least logical around- also have filthy mouths and vivid imaginations.

Vivid in that it is so hard to imagine why Obama and Camp tried to claim that Hillary Clinton was commenting about Obama being assinated.

Yeah, I said, ass-in-ated.
Re: Wow!

What everyone fails to admit is the fact, that to make her point the mention of the assassination was not necessary.

Besides, to draw comparisons between 92 and 68 was totally not relevant.

The campaign calendar has changed since then. In 1968, the Democratic race kicked off with the New Hampshire primary on March 12. When RFK was killed, the campaign was not quite 3 months old. In 1992, the first contest was the Iowa caucuses on Feb. 10; by the beginning of June, candidates had been battling for about 3 1/2 months - and it was clear that Bill Clinton would be the nominee, though he had not technically wrapped it up.

This year, the Iowa caucuses were held on Jan 3, the earliest date ever. Other states scrambled to move their contests up in the calendar as well. When June arrives this year, the candidates will have been slogging through primaries and caucuses for five full month - a good deal longer than in those earlier campaign cycles. Her comparisons have no merit whatsoever!

The ones who believe every lie every one else hears but them.

Re: Wow!

Obama is a candidate who has sprung from the primordial slime of Chicago politics.

He has good lawyers.

You should have seen Obama in action in Chicago. He was too afraid to run against actual candidates, so he and his attorneys, actually had his competition removed from the ballot.

Can you believe that? What a complete turn off

It’s just gross.

Even more gross, are the people who call it good strategy.

Right.

The people of Illinois had no choice, but to vote for Obama, in the democratic primary. he took all their choice away. No one else was on the ballot to run against Obama, because of his expertise in ballot manipulation. Well at least he has expertise in something..lol

I call that the strategy of a dictator, not of a democrat.

It is just plain creepy. With supporters like FOS, and all the other bloggers on this site who personally attack and insult those who have unfavorable things to say about Obama, it's no wonder their aren't doing so well anymore.
