The Human Rights Campaign has released the 2008 Buyers Guide. This handy pamphlet can be used in making purchases throughout the year. It is compiled using criteria such as Employer's recond on LGBT issues, presence in the LGBT community, and HR policies.

I Like That List

I already shop at most of those places. But I don't get the connection between these stores and LGBT Communities. Theses places are also present where I live and there are no LGBT Communities out here. So, I guess I'm confused about that part. It doesn't matter.

These companies offer domestic partnership type benefits to LGBT's, and have progressive Human Resources. Like American Airlines. I fly American now, even when it isn't the most convenient.

Oh, I see. Okay. Now it makes sense. Good. I like the list.

I'm keeping it.

I think, although the list is specific to this cause, it speaks to a willingness on the part of these companies to further relief issues for all groups and causes. Anyone who needs a reason other than the LBGT community to patronize these businesses can recognize the open attitude and respond. I will refer often to the list this year! Thank you!
