My newest, biggest, Pet Peeve are all these “Democrats” proclaiming they will vote Republican if "my" candidate isn’t on the ticket in some way, or is on the ticket with the other candidate, or is forced to do this or whatever the newest one may be. This is all any one is talking about everywhere you turn!

You know regardless of what Bill Clinton said the United States does not like to argue; I thought the United States always loved a good debate. How many of us have said repeatedly that we are tired of all the fighting and arguing yet look at the boards. There is no more debating going on, there’s no more fun or laughter either and yes, you can laugh in politics, what there is, is mean, hateful, arguments and attacks and I am addressing both the Hillary supporters and the Obama supporters. Come on people, we are all better than this.

To repeat my reply to someone else’s blog tonight let’s talk some logic for a minute.

1. I’ve stated my position as to both candidates in previous blogs but regardless of who wins, I will still vote for the Democratic Nominee. We are very lucky to have TWO very capable and qualified candidates, who happen to have similar policies when it comes to the major issues, running for our Party but with enough differences between them to stand out on their own.

2. The only person (s) you are hurting by voting for McCain or a straight Republican ticket is yourself, and your family, and your friends.

Do you really want another 4 years of Bush? Do you want your children or grandchildren going to Iraq and very possibly Iran? Do you want the rich to continue to get richer while those of us not lucky enough to be the elite continue to get poorer? Do you want the rights of your wife, your sisters, your daughters taken away? Do you want your children/grandchildren to have a better life then you?

3. Yes, there are many Republicans hiding out in here and stirring up trouble on the blogs and elsewhere. We are making their day right now. The more they get us fighting the more we get distracted from the real issues and from seeing how bad McCain really is.

To all the true Democrats out there, vent your frustrations but don’t lose sight of the real issues at hand and take the time to really think before you act. Step back from all of this political crap for a few days, a week or however long you need to breathe again and to laugh, go rediscover your other life. Trust me; nothing will happen that you can’t quickly catch up on with today’s technology.

Sorry, still switching

I am a Clinton supporter. I think she would make a great president. However, I was pretty impressed by Obama and was very impressed with his speeches.

Then I heard and saw Mr. Wright...and started hearing a constant stream of Obama supporters defending his friendship with that nut. Obama's supporters all tell us that we have to give more leeway to black people because they are seething with anger and resentment. They have to listen to these types of sermons in order to get the strength to live through another week.

Indeed, they tell us that nearly all black preachers are similar to Mr. Wright. Obama supporters tell us that they not only defend Wrights statements, but that they also are in full agreement because, after all, white people had slaves...and todays blacks have the right to even things up.

Al Frankton says that if Obama is not the nominee, black people will riot. Ain't that nice...

And we want these people's champion in our White House? NOT!!!! I cannot vote for Obama...

What I said was that you need to hear the entire sermon. White preachers regularly condemn America for things like homosexuality, Rock 'n Roll, and host of other things. No one has played any of those sermon sound bites again and again and again.

I am Caucasian; but I agree with 99% of what Wright said in that sermon. I condemn his use of expletive, though he at least used it in the right way.

Also, to condemn Obama for being friends with someone who sounded racist to you (which he cannot be because he's black) doesn't mean Obama agrees with him any more than most people agree with everything their pastor says.

Go to the church site and listen to the white, female associate pastor talk about Barack. Read the sermon that the sound bite came from and a couple of more. You'll have a very different idea of what the whole thing was about.

BTW, Hillary's own pastor supports Reverend Wright.

You agree with 99 per cent of what JW said? What didn't you agree with, the 1 per cent that is?

You know, I'm beginning to see that this party has a far left...wait, like this;

Far Left, not so far Left, Middle Left, not so middle Left, almost not Left.

Correct? Because we are not all fitting into one range at all.

Im glad you asked. I think it is more like a lot of little empires, some more or less right than others. Each empire has within it people who belong to a set of organizations that have simmilliar goals. So there is a wing for all the evironmental groups a wing for all the economic goups a wing for the animal cruelty groups several wings that are intersted in civil rights (They are very powerful which is why things turned ugly after the Obama supporters tried to target Geraldine Ferarro. Its not so clear cut as say, republicans who just have a homogenous left, right and center.

"Things turned ugly after the Obama supporters tried to target Geraldine Ferarro"???????

Really?? I guess we all imagined the whole kitchen sink thing (Before Geraldine).

I think the poll showing that 16% (right??) of Obama supporters wouldn't vote for HRC and 28% of HRC supporters wouldn't vote for Obama is surprising. Aren't the majority of the Hillary crowd supposed to be from the traditional base? Aren't a larger portion of Obama supporters new Democrats supposed to be new converts who came on board specifically to support Obama? What is going on here? I have a guess. Can you guess what it is?

Ask me about my experience at that Philly St. Patrick's day parade on 3/9, well before the Reverend Wright issue came to light.

However, the orignal topic here is valid. The candidates, their staffs, their surrogates, and the rest of us need to tone it down a bit and try to get our perspective back.

Atack McCain not each other

Hi I want to check out this idea which came during Jim Lehrer last night.
Idea: Convince Obama and Clinton to stop attacking each other and focus on McCain. Convince the National Democratic party to have the superdelegates observe the effectiveness of each candidates effectiveness in their attack on McCain. The candidate with the most effectiveness will be chosen as the Demo nominee. What do you think?
