Now, correct me if I am wrong and you have any real support against what I am about to say.

My daughters friend is in the Navy ( IDK the type of ship, but the shoot down missles.

#1) He, and all the military, know amongst themselves that the missle that was supposedly a 'test' and shot down over the pacific, was NOT a test. It was real, but the government did not want to alarm the American people.

#2) Again, according to this man, the satelittes are all being synchronized. Why you may ask. According to this man, and all the other military people he associates with all know, unlike us civilians, that there is a plan underway to attack Iran and North Korea in November. No joke. Military officials are already sending people and preparing for it.

Now, don't attack me for relaying this message, I heard this from a man actively surving in the military.

Whether this information is true or not, this Navy personnel should keep his mouth shut on military operations and his location.

And that's how you know it's not true. There's no way anyone in the military would release classified information to a civilian.

Both my brothers were in the Navy in the 80's one on a ship, the other on a nuke sub, neither one were ever allowed to tell us anything and never did, not even to this day. So I would have to doubt that as well.

They actually didn't tell us anything until 24 hours beforehand unless we were directly involved and still it was 72 hours prior. It's bs!

it is a diversion
By MICHAEL on The Beach May 25th 2008 at 1:25 pm EDT
It is a decoy as we are actually going to attack Canada & France. From Canada we will acquire natural resources & a health plan while France will provide cheese, wine & luxury goods as well as a W European foothold.

yes, that is very funny...
but, i take it seriously until the time comes and goes. It wouldn't be the first time that the government had plans without our knowledge

Absurd
By Arius May 25th 2008 at 1:25 pm EDT
This is a silly claim.

(As far as what kind of ship your source is on, it could be just about any, given the Phalanx system, but if we narrow it to SM3 shooters, we're talking one of the CRUDES.)

He can't declare anything without congress and congress will impeach him if he tried. This is the same bull we've been hearing since the 60's. It's a lie!

They haven't had enough votes to do anything until now. Make no mistake about it.. most repukes in congress are good people and would never support anything as crazy as this. Most of them are 1000 times more sensible than bush but then heck, my cat is smarter than bush!

Do to the War Powers Act, he would need no pre-authorization.

The War Powers Act LIMITS the president's ability to conduct war. It doesn't ENABLE it. They passed it because Nixon said he didn't have to EVER pull out of Vietnam.

korea and iran
By SPIRITED DONA May 25th 2008 at 1:33 pm EDT
flare up and calm down. it should be okay. bush has let everybody run over us. don't worry.

the iranians were friendly when they were in the tn valley studying-- our nuke plant in the 70's. seriously, the people wanted us, not the government as friends. koreans would like to see their families united. leaders r crazy!
Re: korea and iran
By JEA May 25th 2008 at 1:38 pm EDT
i definately agree leaders are crazy...they ALL (worldwide) use the whole civilian populations as their pawns for prestige and power. make us hate one another intenationally, while they are all probably sitting in their penthouses drinking tea and laughing at us.

Don't be so wuick to judge this post.

While I do not believe there is anything set in stone, plans have been requested for possible military actions involving Iran. This is not such and uncommon thing to have the hypothetical worked out in advance. Before the Gulf of Tonkin incident in Vietnam, a package of perspective bombing targets was already being organized into planned missions. I will try to find a link on preparations for possible actions against Iran.

This is a quote from an article in the New Yorker.

"This summer, the White House, pushed by the office of Vice-President Dick Cheney, requested that the Joint Chiefs of Staff redraw long-standing plans for a possible attack on Iran, according to former officials and government consultants. The focus of the plans had been a broad bombing attack, with targets including Iran’s known and suspected nuclear facilities and other military and infrastructure sites."

Kyl/Lieberman
a carbon copy of what Bush used to justify his invasion of Iraq. And, obviously, there were no other preparations for Iraq.
WTF does it take to convince people that Bush is dumb because he cannot be smart?
