they're closing down not building up? strange...troubling...not prudent. where'd all the money go?
Hi everyone,
Volunteer Headquarters at 300 W. Adams St. has closed. Yes, it’s been a big change for all of us to adjust to - that place became a second home for very many of us. The lease we signed with the building was only for one year, and it expired on April 30th. As many of you know, we had our final farewell event on the evening of the Pennsylvania Primary on April 22nd -- we even had a contest and gave out a prize (a book autographed by Senator Obama) to the person who had made the most calls in the final weeks.
We thank you all for your dedication to helping Barack Obama by volunteering there for the past year: The successes that the campaign has enjoyed have been in large part due to the hard work of the giant family of volunteers thatʹs come together behind this candidate. There are many ways you can still help Barack Obama:
-- Help us win Indiana by knocking on doors there! Our Illinois campaign has shifted its entire focus to canvassing in Indiana. Itʹs less than 1 hour away " please give us a hand by knocking on votersʹ doors in Indiana, your help is crucial! You can either go to http://in.barackobama.com/CometoIN or call (317) 917‐2008 to schedule your canvassing trip.
-- Make calls from home using the web‐based calling tool located at http://my.barackobama.com/call.
-- Get 25 or more people together to host your very own phone bank! Once you have 25 people lined up with phone lines, send an email to illinois@barackobama.com and weʹll be able to provide you with everything you need to host a successful phone bank.
Again, thanks for all that youʹve done and all that you continue to do. Your help throughout this historic campaign has been the key to our success.
Sincerely,
Melissa
