Texas Two-Step

I proudly cast my vote for Barack Obama in Texas. When I attended the caucus on Tuesday I voiced my support again for the senator from Illinois. When the floor was opened for debate the call was clearly heard from a woman wearing a "Hillary 2008" T-shirt to close the floor. The motion was seconded just as quickly from another Clinton supporter. Was this really the way the Founding Fathers envisioned the Democratic process? Democrats see a record turnout of voters and debaters only to be silenced by calls from "Hillary 2008?" Were these really Democrats? Or were they Republicans looking to undermine the political process to protect their strangle-hold on the White House? I was saddened by the lack of enthusiasm for Democracy in precinct 3196. Shame on those who want to silence the voices of the people for their own gains.....

My Fear, Exactly

We know that from Obama himself that republicans are voting for him. We know from insiders that they are voting for Hillary. Now we have a handout and polling station abuses advocating republicans vote for Clinton.

What exactly would stop them from also spoiling the caucus count? Nothing.

Nobody likes change, but not being sure which voter system you like shouldn't qualify unregistered non-party outsiders from innocently and legally interferring on poor political practices and receiving all of the party member benefits.
How stupid are you?

the evidence doen't match you rhetoric, gotcha

Texas Democratic Primary voters self-identified as Republican and they went with Obama 53%-46%. By ideology, 22% of the voters identified themselves as conservative, and those went for Clinton 52-45.

You must really have a bug up your butt.

I can see why we've never had the pleasure of a personal interaction.

PS. My reference to the hand out was from one of your own postings. Sorry. I got the names Obama and Clinton switched. That's not stupid it was an accident.

One which does not change the fact that there were people who have been instructed and said so to vote for Clinton.

Where is the proof
By Mr Bill Mar 8th 2008 at 4:46 pm EST
As an Obama supporter you are not believable since it has been proven on this blog that some will do and say anything to inflict damage on Clinton, so once again I ask where is your proof show me the video the documentation anything. Clinton supporters used their cell phone video cameras as their proof, and it will be useful in court

If you are speaking to me, I reject your name calling just because you do not read other posts or other papers. Glad you get around and collect points, try reading some of the posts before you sound off about other peoples clear and frequently posted opinions.

Bill -- you could just as easily as anyone else on this PB be a repug!

I am a Proud Supporter of Hillary Clinton, '08. Solely and exclusively.

UH UH

While the caucus went very badly in Houston I would not say it was meant to be. There were way more people than anticiapated and the gentleman that was leading the caucus became overcome with people inside and outside the room. So he appointed a temp. to sit at the table and check ID's. It was then that improper ID's were shown and people caucused for Obama. I ave since learned the same was done done for Hillary. Also have learned that the names appearing on those papers will be identified as qualified voters or not at the county level. However so many showed up. And it became a circus and I am more than positive that this is being repeated time and again throughout the U.S.A.
We support Hillary but I like you disagree with anyone wearing badges etc of support. (which the temp had one for Obama but was told to remove it)
I can only wish for the next states to vote things wiol be done in a more controlled manner.

I prefer an insiders experience to a prejudicial reporter any day. Great job.
