A Call For An End to the Bitter Infighting Between the Obama and Clinton Presidential Campaigns and Supporters

This is an urgent call for an end to the bitter infighting between the Obama and Clinton campaigns and for serious reconsideration by some of their supporters who vow to vote for McCain in the general election if their favorite Democratic presidential candidate--Clinton *or* Obama--loses the Democratic presidential nomination.

It is very important that all Democrats--whether they are Obama *or* Clinton supporters--remember that both Clinton *and* Obama would make an excellent president who would put an end to Republican warmongering while realistically and effectively addressing and resolving the serious domestic crises confronting our nation, to the betterment of not only our nation and our fellow Americans, but ourselves as well.

Let's pledge to unite--once the Democratic presidential nominee is determined--to campaign and vote for the Democratic presidential nominee in the general election--be it Obama *or* Clinton--and strive for a hoped-for landslide election of the Democratic presidential nominee and, also, a hoped-for overwhelming Democratic-majority Congress, which would enable the Democratic president to make good on implementing his or hers realistic and effective solutions to the real domestic and foreign policy issues confronting our nation, for the betterment of our nation and all of its citizens including ourselves.

Remember, too, to vote for McCain--if our favorite Democratic presidential candidate loses the nomination--would be to the detriment of not only our nation and our fellow Americans, but to the detriment of ourselves as well.

A vote for McCain would only enable him--if McCain is actually elected president--to make good on his pledge to continue the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for one hundred years, and to also make good on his "serious consideration" to invade Iran and, perhaps, other nations he deems our adversaries as well, without any serious intention to try true and honest diplomacy with our adversaries--as well as our friends--in an honest effort to resolve world tensions peacefully.

I understand

I totally understand your desire for a truce. The problem is that many people do NOT think that either candidate would make an excellent president. I think many/most Democrats have a definite preference. Most/many would consider voting for the other candidate if his/her chosen candidate is not the nominee. Some, however, would not. Therein lies our problem...

Five stars.

We need more posts like this. The dem party runs risk of losing in november. The enemy mccain makes great strides, North Korea is causing more problems. Missle crisis is volatile. If infighting keeps going on, The dem Party loses because of Obama Hillary popularity contest.
At this rate it is good bye democratic victory chance, hello Mccain hello world war three. Hilllary and Obama must call temporary truce and attempt to stop the real enemy.
I call on Obama and Hillary to stop!, think! I call on all adult enlightened rational democrats, we can not vote our lives and that of the entire world hang in the balance if the mccain proxy for bush third term wins in november.
PLEASE STOP! THINK! We need you to do so.!!!

May the Great Spirit Grandfather look over and bless all America.

Did y'all READ Jess's post?! NOT calling on anyone to quit. Fight hard. Stop whining. Start thinking about how this country would really end up with McCain's "leadership."

BOTH sides need to think about it. Mud has been slung both ways. It's time to clean up in our Sunday best and give McCain a knockout in November.

Clinton is being gang raped by the good old boys and Obama is being white washed by misinformed apologists... he is a racist, a liar and a fraud albeit with charisma - he will not be a good or even acceptable president - I cannot vote for someone like him - someone who says "a typical white person"; a person who lied about his relationship with his pastor and his political godfather (convicted felon or soon to be?) not to mention making back door promises to Canada while lying to Americans. I can go on but suffice it to say there is NOTHING that would ever convince me to support or vote for Obama - I could not even hold my nose and vote for him as the lesser of the evils - no, if the dems insist on nominating an arrogant inexperienced racist then I will vote for McCain...

It's Scary Out There

I joined some Clinton groups to appeal for unity. One group in particular was horrifying I received mild emails that just said go away to the extreme which actually threatened me and used every profanity in the book. The name of the group is "Hillary For America" Except for two people the rest were vicious. I couldn't sleep and left the group. If you've got the stamina go for it.

It is urgent we stand together and stop privatization-which ends all of FDR's important Acts which helped us out of THE GREAT DEPRESSION or we will be handing all our tax dollars over to private contractors, corporations and banks like Bears and Stearns? Did you know that a person with two homes where one is a summer vacation home make work out a deal to keep both, while we who own one may not. Those are the ways of Republicans. We have to much at stake and must change all economic policy, the Bad Banking Bill, the Bad Energy Bill, and the Privatization of Social Security and Medicare..

Ask your parents or grand parents about the great depression and look up how Henry Ford treated his workers and look up J.D. Rockefeller, and how he operated and treated his workers. Republicans and this includes McCain do not believe in investing in America-Trade policy will continue as is-millions of more jobs will be leaving-already the airline industry is leaving for Mexico! Workers will be paid 3.50 an hour and the engineers something like 11.00 or more!
Democrats basically believe in better trade policy that help us and tend to try to retain jobs.We must be protect jobs! McCain will not.

FDR declared every American deserves a job that pays and balanced Private Powers with the Publics Interest and gave us Social Security, increased Collective Bargaining Rights, created jobs and cheap hydro-power plus he passed many ACT's that created the middle class. Johnson continued...And Medicare was passed. GW is handing off this money to private insurance companies to sell Medicare Advantage plans and these are for profit insurance companies who may deny care! This destroys Medicare.
People no longer retire with pension or solid health care plans.

Democrats believe in the investment of her citizens and always have, which has alway been described( by the Neo-Cons) "Wasteful Spending" The media is all propaganda...Do not get involved with the drama over our two presidential hopefuls and let the votes count...CHILL remember how our VOTES did not count in the GORE/Bush election??? proamerica-it for some reason says unregistered??
By the way I spoke to two Canadians and one was a college professor...they have International coverage and they do not wait hours for care. They think we are crazy and that this is a basic need and right. They wonder why American's believe this is an evil??? As do I.
Let the process unfold-PLEASE and UNITE.
