Obama? The far left of the party may be happy, but will voters across our great country? I don't know, but my gut to this point tells me this is not the direction dems should go to win back the White House.

I certainly agree with you..

I thought that the DNC was a lot less liberal that apparently it actually is! I must have gotten lost somewhere in the shuffle. I have been a life-long Democrat, but the bloom is off the rose this year. sadly.

Sadly the DNC just does not get it. And they keep running losers. Centrists like Clinton won and of course President Clinton's VP Al Gore won also but the election was stolen from him. Running from the far left is always a recipe for disaster for Dems. So here we go again.

sadly you don't get it...they run who they want to win...this winner clearly has to do nothing but please the people, make them think they are picking him.

But the joke will be on you my friend. Sad to say.

No way

Totally not:

Pat Robertson, Jerry Fallwell, NRA, Religious Right Conservatives, Conservative Party, Mike Huckabee............that doesn't include states like Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, California.....Hillary's base is broader and more reliable.....Obama lost the Jews (think Hamas), he can't count on the Gay and Lesbians thanks to his Pastor, the Latino's don't trust him; Middle class whites seem to be "bitter and cleaning their guns"; What does he have left? African Americans and Highly Educated Progressive Liberals.............not nearly enough to win and Hillary's core bases will NOT follow party lines.......because they neither trust him or believe him. Barak speaks like a Pastor to his African American Audiences and like a Junior Senator to his Liberal Progressive audiences. I have never heard him speak as a Presidential Candidate. The Democratic Party was hijacked by Howard Dean to get back at us for not letting him run for President. This is his pay back.
Democrats for McCain?
By Democrat in Pompano Beach, FL May 10th 2008 at 10:59 pm EDT
I am a lifelong Democrat. I reside in FL. I consider myself to be somewhat educated in that I have a 4 year college degree and a 3 year juris doctor degree. In otherwords, I'm an attorney. I also happen to be Jewish too. What a shocker...

Anyway, you're right. Obama will not win the Jewish vote and he will not win FL. Personally, I don't think he's qualified. As Mitt Romney reminded us just the other day, "what has Obama accomplished?" He hasn't run a city or a state or even a business. What important legislation has he passed? In truth, the only think that Obama brings to the table is a good speech and 92% of the black voters.

I am a proud supporter of Hillary Clinton who will probably vote for McCain in November if Obama is the Democratic Nominee.

Get real - NO democrat will win Florida - not even HRC.

I disagree, I think that Hillary could. She has strong appeal with both the seniors AND the Jewish community. She would need to work the Latino Component but remember with the right handling Bill can be a powerful draw.
Which state did John McCain run?

Which business did John McCain run?

John McCain has never had a civilian job. Oh wait, yeah - worked for one year for his father-in-law doing nothing.
I repeat

If you are Jewish, why can't you spell "rabbi" and if you're so highly educated, why do you employ phrases like, "he won't sit the delegates"?
Which city, state or business

Did Hillary Clinton run, again????

John McCain???

We can Still Do it though.
By andy492 May 10th 2008 at 10:59 pm EDT
We can still do it though but it would take Big Brass Balls to get it done........All 20+ million of Hillary's supporters need to make it very clear that Obama is NOT our candidate and will NOT be supported by a one of us. Firm, clear and to the point. The backlash will be loud and fierce but I can't imagine the Super Delegates are dumb enough to think that Obama's core constituancy would be enough to carry him against the "Republicans" How do they say it on TV? The Math Just Doesn't Add Up! Let the African Americans have their candidate while we take the White House whith Hillary as the Independant. I think that she would siphon enough Republicans to make the difference and to be quite frank and honest; who gives a rats ass what Obams's people think? THis is a race that we absolutely must win. Literally thousands of our soldiers lives in Iraq are counting on us.

He got more than AA votes that is why he is ahead........He has more votes than Hillary......Why he is ahead........So it doesn't matter about the 20+ millions he has more votes, more delegates he wins.........

Your Quote: "Let the African Americans have their candidate while we take the White House whith Hillary as the Independant."

For your damn information, I resent your statement. I have served in the armed services for a country - that never respected me. My people have supported your "White" democratic candidates for generations. Don't you dare make this - "The African American Candidate!" Besides, HRC had complete African American support until things became ugly. Did you know that?

Your comments are also insulting to the many states with a 90% and above "WHITE" population in which he carried those states. Your ignorance and bigotry is appalling.

Go suck on a rotten egg!!!!

well here it is in a nut shell:

I've lost a son in Iraq because of a republican president. I've one left and he is there as well. Barak Obama is not mainstream enough for enough of Hillary Clintons supporters to cross over to him. That leaves us John McCain as the next President..If you think that the religious right and conservative party won't see to that you, are sadly mistaken......with McCain in the White House we stay the course and thousands more in Iraq die. Now explain to me please how I explain to my wife that one son is gone and our chance of taking back the white house and ending the conflict is gone as well?
Personally, I could care less if the Next president is black, green, red or purple as long as he or she is a Democrat but do you honestly think that the Religious Right, the conservative party, the NRA, and all of the other little republican's are going to let Barak Obama win?
Our primary focus MUST be to WIN the WHITE HOUSE.
If my comments are offensive, gee i'm sorry but i was pretty offended when I had to plan my sons funeral and there was no one around then to say gee, we really need to fix this.
Re: one Focus
By andy492 May 10th 2008 at 11:45 pm EDT
I have but one focus in this election and that is save lives, my sons and the sons of the other parents in his platoon.........if that focus offends people; I'm sorry but any human life is far more important than being politically correct for even 1 second.........lives are at stake, lives of our soldiers, our americans with no health care, our americans with no jobs and potentially with no homes.......black lives, white lives, male lives, female lives.....all lives that are more important than playing nice in an election that we absolutely must win. I can't help the way i feel and it is not meant to be devisive, offensive or cruel.

I hate to throw water on this right-wing daisy chain, but Obama is not a liberal. You guys would like us to believe anyone who has not completely crawled into the corporate watch pocket is a pinko anarchist.
Kucinich is an activist liberal. Clinton is past it, but maybe Obama can grow up to become a liberal in the mold of Kennedy, Johnson, Gore.
