Colin Powell has endorsed Barack Obama for president.

Al Qaeda has endorsed John McCain.

The terrorist organization has determined that John McCain would be the best U.S. president to lead our country further into economic decline. Opinions were posted on several Al Qaeda web sites.

Remember when the right-wing lied about Al Qaeda endorsing John Kerry four years ago? They were outraged at Kerry. So, how do they feel about McCain securing this endorsement? (And this time, it is in writing.)

A vote for McCain = a vote for Terrorism.

However, how different will Obama's foreign policy be from McCain's? Obama isn't really talking about abandoning the wars that are draining our resources and contributing to the destruction of our economy.

What about Afghanistan?
What about the indefinite "residual force" in Iraq?

The difference is, Obama will more actively engage the Iraqi government regarding troop withdrawals from Iraq. Fighting within Afghanistan will be more concentrated with a more focused president.

Furthermore, it is the fault of the U.S. government that Al Qaeda grew so strong in Afghanistan. Had they assisted in the rebuilding of the country, built schools, attempted to build some sort of infrastructure so that the country could compete in the 20th century. Al Qaeda would have never grown there.

We are great at tearing a country down but horrible at rebuilding it and doing so in a responsible manner so that a conquered country is our friend and not our foe.

The best thing the U.S. can do to help Iraq and Afghanistan and reduce the risk of terrorism is get out of the Middle East. Based on his own statements, I am convinced that this is NOT what Obama has in mind.

The best way to win in Iraq is to give the people of Iraq back their country. For example, give them electricity 24hrs a day, give them fresh running water and open schools. If we had done these things in the beginning, the Iraqi people would have run all of their enemies out of Iraq. But as long as we have tanks in the middle of their streets and men with guns running in their homes with no power or fresh water, we will never be welcome there. It is funny that America is starting to show the same signs of a failing infrastructure.

No amount of infrastructure building can justify our presence in Iraq. It is fundamentally immoral. If we really cared about Iraq's infrastructure we would get our troops, mercenaries, and corporations out and send them the money we saved.

Powell was a key figure in the lead up to the invasion of Iraq. I have no respect for him.
