Exactly one on half months ago a troubled mother just finishes her visit to the Arlington Cemetery were her son rest in peace she speaks to a reporter of NPR Radio and she quote “If there are someone guilty for my losses and the losses of other parents like me in this war, is the Americans media, they only need one week broadcasting the atrocity of this war” and am I totally sure in less of a weak this war is over.

She was absolutely right; it is amazing how cowardly and complacent was the media covering this war.

They have a lot to explain to the public why if they believe in the FREEDOM of information, they surrounded this FREEDOM to the government of Mr. Bush.

The media have a lot of responsibility in this mess.

They look like a puppet instrument of this administration.

In that way they deserve a warmed “Welcome to the third world”

for a real contrast, compare the differences between how the American media has covered Iraq and how the Arab media has covered Iraq.

This right Liz, this administration blind everything they consider dangerous for his purpose. But this is not and excuse for the big and powerful networks don do the job they have to do.

CNN, BBC of London, ABC, all of them surrounded and kill the freedom of the people of being well informed about this war.

Probably they sold this liberty for few bunch of advertising!

You are so correct Percy, the media is at a lot of fault and continue to be.

And I learned...guess I always knew...

but the Media, public that is governed by the FCC Federal Consenses Commission...Consensus meaning...censorship by the consenses of Government. You will only hear stories to engage the American Citizen into battles amongst themselves or what the Government wants you to hear...the other stations not Governed by FCC, became a joke with radicals, corruption of other sorts, blah blah blah or infomercials and nobody pays attention to these stations so the few that do put the REAL news out there for you...gets passed by as a radial...YOU AMERICAN CITIZENS NEED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELVES AND END THE CORRUPTION OF THE GOVERNEMNT...GET RID OF THEM ALL AND START FRESH.

I can get behind that......We the American people should be outraged at how the media is misinforming us, about the war, the budget, the state of the economy, and our society......

The Media Belongs To The Far Right
By Fyrefoxxe Apr 27th 2008 at 4:50 pm EDT
The "news" media is the puppet of big corporations, they are owned by a handful of very right wing men like . . .

The Sinclair bros.
Clear Co.
Rudolf Murdoch (pardon any mis-spell please )

These people not only have been pro-Iraq war from before it began, they have "blacked out" any and all shows and movies they don't think will cheer on the war.

Examples; They blacked out an episode of "Night Line," in six states, because Ted Koppel read the names of American Troops, and even dared showed any photos he had. The fiend.

Even more mind boggling, these powerhogs blacked out the movie "Saving Private Ryan," in one third of this country, because they thought that it might dampen the pro-war sentiment.
Incredible!
The talking heads "starring" in these "news" shows we see on the air are gutless pawns who could be replaced by well trained parrots.
You go Santa Cruz...

spread your knowledge to all you can...WE CAN COLLECTIVELY CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT AS WE KNOW IT AND RECAPTURE AN ECONOMIC SOCIETY WE ALL WISH FOR.

I'm assuming you mean me, since that's basically where I'm from. If so, I'm flattered that you took the time to go to my site. Maybe I ought to pay more attention to it, I usually just post.

As for your comments, yes, we the people will never change things if we don't pull together and fight back. The people need to realize that, though the rich and powerful own everything now, they are still completely dependent on us "peons" for the continued income of their fortunes.

In other words, we still have what the founding fathers and mothers called "the power of the purse strings."

BOYCOTT! Shut them down or bring them to their knees begging. Organized boycotts are the most powerful weapon he have. We must learn how to use it.

Pardon me, I meant to say any American troops who had been killed in the war. My bad there, and a terrible oversight.

The media also is a big part of the cover up of our returning troops, and the struggles they face now, that they are no longer physically. They hardly ever cover these brave troops or the many problems they face.

Yes you right.
If this is the point so, as I said before, they sold the freedom of information for a bunch of ads.

Your right

But not just for this lots of the coverage we get is not in our best interest. I am not sure when but the media went bad somewhere along the line. I mean each news network has its own spin?

FYI HBO has some specials on Iraq that are truly honest and somewhat graphic.

I agree, this current election cycle is proof enough......Even after Rev. Wright's interview Fri., the media is still saying he's racist....When it's obvious the clips were out of context......And with context and and scripturally,as well as historically they are factual. Those are the points that should be highlighted in the coverage of the interview on PBS, the only program that even addressed how media has mischaracterized the clips was ABC Goodmorning America!
